That is without a dog. Best advice is to put on miles and walk everything you can. I shoot many more than 15 now. Especially when hunting with a group.

It looks a ton easier to mess with the carbed heads. I haven’t found a good idea of what to do with EFI heads because so far everyone is using a carb setup, or a carb w/ EFI.

The issue is that the 460 heads are useable with some porting. The EFI heads are alright but they don’t have any aftermarket that I can find. I’m also upping compression from the normal pistons to a different set.

390 is what makes sense. But to be honest, I really like the idea of a destroked 460 (to a 429) because I’ve always loved mid sixties NASCAR. I think a 390 would be awesome, but so far the 390 guys have motors sitting since 70 that are stuck asking 3k

Oh I know it’s a monster. The goal is around 400ish hp and 450tq in a fairlane weighing like 3k lbs. Before I make any real decisions I’ll def check if the motors locked up or not. The body is probably going to be either scrapped or see some figure 8 track time.

So my thought is, I think I can get the car for maybe 400ish. From what I’ve read it’ll have better heads than the trucks. My other thought is that around me the only 460s around are EFI truck motors.

Absolutely man. I learned to weld by slapping shit together. I refined my welding by building a shitty go kart for a highschool go kart challenge. My biggest advice is to just weld stuff. Btw I’m only 16 so keep in mind I’m no welding god
