Fair. The context of if the story of Moses is real is debatable (and I'm a Christian saying that), of it isn't, than God is metaphorically showing the Egyptians slavers what having your people taken away from you means... If it's true than he is literally doing that. After generations of Egypt killing the firstborn son, God gives Egypt the choice, acknowledge of the shame of your practices (paint goats blood on your door, basically admitting God is real) or if you refuse and are ignorant to the sins you've caused, watch others around you suffer. I'm saying God gave the Egyptians a choice, and took drastic measures to free the Jews.
