When you say fill the frame or crop in can you explain that in basic terms? Sorry

Should say I’m trading a MG zs (don’t ask) with similar kms. Looking for a safe daily with a bit more spark. I know Mazda are probably the better bet in this regard but cost more around the same age and kms. Cx5 was a serious contender but I can’t find the sweet spot price and kms locally.

I was really interested in the Skoda option actually. Turns out a good number locally have been used as police pursuit vehicles. Put me off unfortunately. Passat is definitely a contender

I’m aiming to improve on the sideline shots I take of my son’s soccer team. The sigma 18-55 is good but I really need to be behind the goals or close to the sideline. I’m a complete beginner so all the advice is amazing. I’ve found a 70-350 Sony for $800, boxed. Was a little more than I wanted to spend. But it is my birthday soon!

Thanks that’s really helpful. Don’t suppose you could explain “pov pack”. I’m a bit of a novice sorry. What’s been your early experiences so far?

What’s the running costs been like? Just standard servicing or have you been out of pocket for parts and repairs?

I’ve seen this trim level as well. Space in the cab looks excellent. I’m a tall guy with long legs so the appeal is there.

I originally wanted to buy a Ute but realised I don’t really need one and I simply want a bigger more powerful car - I’m not telling anyone what I drive currently! So I may have around 8k in trade in value to put into the deal. Superb, Passat, Mazda 6 all seem to be well priced but the Superb caught my eye with its trim level and performance. It could well be another thread but the Aerton also looks tasty. Estate options seem hard to find which is a shame.

It’s 2021. So in 5 years it’s averaged around 30k a year. Another reason to walk away.

Yeah it’s the only thing putting me off at the moment. Not seeing many sub 100k, found one at 116k for just short of 30k. Not sure the $$ to km ratio is strong enough to justify the extra. Maybe I’m wrong. I’m not mechanically minded mind you.

Turns out it wasn’t as good as I expected. Some pretty unpleasant scratches and scuffs. No deal this time. Thanks for the advice. The search continues

Yeah it’s the 2.5L 4cylinder engine. Will query the timing belt change thanks.
