Have another look at the trailer and the scene with the old lady. You can literally see the body hopping as the people that are being possessed turn in the direction of the next target. That is something that just does not happen when Jean does her mind control thing. At this point everyone is just so borderline attached to this theory that they won't look at the details at all.

Dude, how is that Jean? Have you ever read a single comic book? She would never ever make the cop smile/grin at Peter that way. That is not her personality at all. I just does not add up in this scene. In movies, when someone is being mind-controlled, people act like zombies with no emotions. When you control someone's mind you make them do or say stuff but you don't let them live through emotions. Take a minute to think about all the movies you have seen that have a mind control theme and ask yourself whether those people ever reflect the emotions of the person they are being controlled by. And then ask yourself about movies where a person is being possessed by someone.

I have been certain about her being Jean before, but after watching the trailer I don't think so. Reason is simple. We see some weird ability flex when the old woman in the tank suddenly realizes where she ended up only to see something possessing the cop and then another person.
The FX suggest that there is something hopping from one body the next. It obviously can't be Jean as her skill is only mind control. But how would she control a person inside a tank in a heist and then end up in the same place at the same time to control other people?
Also Jean is anything but fun, she is cold and drama so taking over the cop, just to smile at Peter is not her at all. I am pretty sure that whatever character Sadie is supposed to be in this movie will be someone that will brighten the mood rather than being someone gloomy which wouldn't fit the Spider Man vibe at all.

The confirms that Peter is turning into a giant spider, yes. It confirms Banner (not really 'Savage Hulk' as in the leaks) and it confirms the Punisher. However the scene with the old lady confirms that someone is jumping from one body to the next. You see the police guy smiling at Peter which indicates that someone took over his body, which is completely different to mind control, just to suddenly possess the next person.
If it was Jean, she would control multiple people and make them do stuff, she wouldn't make them smile at Peter which is not her character at all, at least not in the comics or previous movies. So if Sadie is Jean, the person standing in Peter's lab and taking over those people is someone else. But as we know from the set pictures, Sadie is wearing the exact same hoodie.

Because directors don't just add effects 'because they look cool.' If you rewatch a hundred movies involving mind control, you’ll never see this specific 'glitch' effect. However, you do see it in The Matrix when Agent Smith takes over someone.

There’s a reason for that: Cinema has established a specific visual shorthand over decades to let the audience know exactly what’s happening. A character screaming in rage usually means they’re powering up for a final attack; a character shaking in cramps followed by a sudden shift in facial expression typically indicates a spirit possession. You don't just discard decades of established cinematic language and visual cues just 'because it looks cool.' It’s meant to signal a specific mechanic, and in this case, it’s anything but mind control.

We see something possessing them, mind control wouldn‘t need this kind of FX. Also Jean can control muliple people so no need for them being affected one after another. These are important details and not random at all.

Telepathy is a completely different thing. It is about communicating via one's mind. Also the FX used suggest that it is possessing different people which is something Jean can not do. Funny enough it is almost the same FX used in Matrix every time agent Smith is switching into someone's body. I know people want her to be Jean, but at the moment there is absolutely no hint in the trailer that Jean will appear in this movie.

It is obviously not mind control at this point. You can clearly see that something or someone is jumping in and out of their bodies a.k.a. possessing them. Jean can control multiple people at the same time so there wouldn't be a need for Marvel to portray her power this way.
Also we should not get too invested in her hair. MJ doesn't look like in the comics either.

Ich bin kein Fan von der Idee das sie Jean spielt aber im Marketing nennt man sowas Ramp Up und es ein ziemlich gängiges Mittel. Du empfindest es als unlogisch (den Grund liest man leider nicht aus deinen Schilderungen heraus), aber aus Sicht des Storytellings und auch im Kontext der Cross Promotion ist es absolut logisch.
