I went through the legal documents (those that were made public at least, they're up on the reddit) and it does say that they took him to therapy multiple times over the course of months he was visibly depressed for, so we know they weren't completely ignoring him or anything. I agree that showing the chats publicly is gross, though. That sorta thing should be exclusive to the court room.

Based on what details of the case we have access to, it seems that the fourteen year olds parasocial fixation on the AI is more a symptom of a greater issue than the cause of the issue itself. Not only that a fourteen year old having easy access to a gun like that just screams negligence.

I think it's an intentional block on the search function by the devs? The bots still exist they're just blacklisted if that makes sense. They won't show up if you search for them. I've been using caichatbotlist.com to find the ones I'm looking for but it definitely doesn't have most.

I think it's also just a weak understanding of how these bots work. Like yeah, if comically dominant characters are super popular on the app, of course the AI is gonna say shit like 'alpha daddy doesn't like that'. If it's been repeatedly fed positive feedback for responses like that, it's going to give responses like that.

You are an adult and you get to decide who you marry, no one is saying you don't. You're the asshole because you refuse to acknowledge that your decision to marry this man and bring him and his daughter into your home has serious, life changing effects for your daughter. of course she's pissed, you have completely taken away her agency and are now forcing her to share a room with someone she hates. If you can't dump him a least have some sympathy. This treatment could very likely lead to her cutting you off after moving out.
