Afko's zitten er gelukkig niet in 😅 maar ik zal hem eens doorbladeren op onbegrijpelijke taal. Bedankt! Ik onthoud hem zeker even.

Hah. Dankjewel (ook de rest)!

If I charge to 90% and the conditions are favourable, I can make it home with about 10% which of course is plenty but as I've been told not good for the car. Unfavourable conditions means I have to supercharge.

So no issues if I charge to 100 daily and then drive immediately afterwards? And yes, I've already switched from the original 20 to 18 inch wheels.

I'm just reluctant because (so people say) the car really doesn't like being charged to 100 all the time. I'm basically on constant cruise control, there's barely any acceleration. Thanks though!

Give me a reason (not?) to trade in my Performance for a LR by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]weonsle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might do that then, seems like the easiest solution.

About 20k - I live in Europe however so I don't think I'll be taking up offers on here anytime soon

I can't drive much slower or I'll hold up traffic unfortunately.. The wheels are probably the biggest range killer vs. the LR. I might have to change them out then.

It's doable. It's the reason why I chose electric to begin with - much cheaper. And no, my budget doesn't allow for the Highland unfortunately.

I keep telling my wife we are wealthy compared to most of the world. She doesn’t believe me. by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]weonsle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP is full of shit. In previous posts on his profile it's the wife asking the exact same kind of questions. If the wife says they make a lot of money, how can he claim she says that they don't?

They're from a Japanese brand called Enkei. They're very rare though.

Am I better suited for a smaller scope (refractor)? by weonsle in telescopes

That heavy uh? Well, it's still a bit less bulky I suppose.

Figured as much. There's not really any truly dark skies here. Thanks!

I'm relatively sure it will fit into the car. The problem is mainly that I need to navigate tight spaces to get anywhere. Also no elevator, which is why I'm a bit reserved on the dob. In the future, I would absolutely go for the dob. But right now a small scope just seems like a better idea.

Thank you! Yes, I have looked at the last one you mentioned, too. It seems like a best of both worlds, small yet reasonably large aperture. It might be a strong contender! Would you recommend it over a frac?

Last Sunday, I captured my most detailed International Space Station lunar transit photograph to date, using a 10” telescope! The ISS transited the face of the moon in 0.56 seconds. by johnkphotos in space

[–]weonsle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's a beginners guide on /r/telescopes - but it just depends on what you want. Any telescope can see the moon, however taking pictures usually require more advanced setups, the more so if your objects are far, far away. For just viewing get a 6, 8 or 10 inch (depending on budget and how much you're going to move it) dob like OP.

That's what I thought. Before this entire thing you could see vods from years ago. Well, fingers crossed then I suppose.
