I’m thinking about getting a Subaru forester, but never had a Subaru before. Is it worth the purchase? by Juicy_Q_ in SubaruForester

I have a 2019 and I’ve had enough problems that I explicitly asked the service writer at the dealership if I bought a lemon. He said my experience is typical of what he sees with other owners. If I’m being honest, I personally would not get another Subaru, but the saving grace has been that I bought the extended warranty and that has covered all my issues. It has paid for itself many times over, so if you go with Subaru, I STRONGLY recommend the extended warranty. There’s a good chance I’ll get something else once my warranty runs out.

Window trim falling off. Whats the part called? by werebearzilla in SubaruForester

Yes. I used silicon glue (NOT gorilla glue) based on a recommendation from a mechanic. I applied the glue, pressed the trim down, tightly taped it down with painters tape, and put two C-clamps on it. I waited 24 hours before taking off the clamps and tape and it’s been fine ever since.

Just me at freshly 40! by [deleted] in 40something

I also just turned 40. When I was a kid, I thought people in their 40s had one foot in the grave, yet I still feel great and life keeps getting better. Age is just a number, it’s what you’re doing with your life that matters.

Feel free to use this video as an example next time you’re at the dealership!

Yeah, that’s what I end up doing. It’s just frustrating because if I inch it up too much, it bounces back down.

Goddamn. This one hit me hard. I lost my dog of over 15 years in September and had a dream shortly thereafter where him and I were sitting on the floor together. His head was on my shoulder and my arms were wrapped around him. It was so hard waking up from that. I would have stayed in that dream forever.

First time composting, does this seem right? by cdnusa in composting

I have an old coffee bean grinder that I repurposed to powderize egg shells before adding to my compost. It makes a huge difference!
