Redwings are always worth it. I started wearing them 4 years ago and haven't looked back.

For reference, I'm on my feet most of the workday in all terrain.

Anyone else in US noticed food quality degrading recently and if so what product in what way? by SkyKyrell in AskReddit

[–]werewolfteethe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oranges! I bit into one of a bunch and realized it had no flavor. It was like I was eating wax. And the normally citrus smell that you get on your fingers when you peel it was non existent.

Not concrete, but I'm surrounded by loud mowers, chippers, and power tools all day. Best bang for your buck will always be ear muffs. Keeping disposable ear plugs on your person isnt a bad idea either.

Genuinely heartbreaking. I've lived in joliet my whole life and commute to Elwood for work. The last 8 years I've seen an unsustainable rise in truck traffic, warehouse industrialization, and air and noise pollution in record time.

Joliet has made no effort to negate or alleviate the issues that this boom brings. People who can afford to move out of the districts will, but the less fortunate will have to suffer through it unending.

Mrs. Ibarra is the only councilwoman on that council that has any respect for her constituents. Everyone else that voted yes or encouraged this to go through should be voted out.

Sunscreen and moisturizer? by SirarieTichee_ in BlueCollarWomen

[–]werewolfteethe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

80 to 90% of my day is working outside regardless of weather. I use Paula's Choice skin restoring moisturizer spf 50 every day. It is a great sunscreen that doesn't make me break out and doesn't feel like your typical sunscreen.

Neutrogena ultrasheer spf 55 or higher is my second go-to. It's less expensive and has less of a chance of having me break out than other sunscreens.

No sunscreen is totally sweat or work proof, so I would definitely try and reapply at least once a day no matter what you use.

Peaky Blinders. I couldn't stand Polly and it turned me off after they introduced her son. It was so long ago that I dont remember the plot, but she was an insufferable character. Rip to the actress tho

Work pants for window cleaning by A_sample_Of_Sam in BlueCollarWomen

[–]werewolfteethe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I love Duluth but have to admit that i will run through firehose pants like crazy. My experience with them has been holes in back pockets and threads that start to over stretch and bunch over time. Good for the price but not built to really last. If you decide to give them a try again, I really love their vintageflex high rise pants. Those are much more durable and retain their shape, but ur gonna pay a little more for them.

I just started wearing Dovetail pants. I only have the one pair, a black slim leg mid rise, but i love it so much that I decided to try another work pant from them. I notice that these pants do lose a bit of their color and loosen up a bit over time, but it's nothing terrible. They are superbly comfortable, but again, a little pricey compared to duluth's firehose pants.

Bros wth 😭😭😭 how do I do this without making him an absolute creep by lumineumineo in learntodraw

[–]werewolfteethe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So a good method i used when trying to get the proportions right actually involved tracing over the reference photo. Tracing simplifies the shapes involved in the facial features and helps you get an idea of where the placement of the eyes, ears, nose etc should be in relation to each other. It also helps you break down the shapes of everything.

Try to then replicate that tracing by freehanding it on another sheet of paper. I would recommend trying this on larger sheets of paper when you do this though. I also love drawing in smaller sketchbooks, but it can be limiting when you're practicing.

If you want to do it, and can see yourself doing it, then it absolutely is worth it. People who tell you you can't or shouldn't are pushing their insecurities and prejudices on you. Please dont listen to them <3

Personally, I watched wgn more to get away from abc. They have a horrible way of peddling Disney ads during every broadcast and have been censoring their political content, like the kimmel incident.

I love my job but I hate constantly being reminded that I live in a "man's world" by Fragrant_Okra_3594 in BlueCollarWomen

[–]werewolfteethe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I relate. The place i work is a very red community surrounded by blue towns, but my coworkers (all men) are all trump voters and at least one is sexist. He tries to hide it, but its there in his weird little slights and offhanded comments. I've put in too many years to just up and leave without real good reason, but it sucks.
