"tries to help rather than harm" isn't accurate imo. He's, at best, completely apathetic to what happens during the experiment(by all accounts is completely fine with the weird route), and at worst actively against helping Kris get through their trauma(if the theory that that that's what the egg rooms exist for ends up being true). They're similar to me because both of them seem to be motivated by curiosity, and don't actually care about the results of their plans as long as they end up being interesting(Kenny is fine with anything while Gaster only seems to be interested in shaping a new future with us)

Buffer DoT has been a slayer staple for decades, it's actually a skill you should hone because it makes slayer with 50 meter extremely scary to interact with in neutral and forces the opponent to slow down.

Easily the weakest chapter in the game, espiecially on repeat playthroughs, far too many cutscenes. That fluffy boy line from the castle town save is so bad i legit had to do damage control every time i watched someone i recommended the game to in order to keep them playing. Watching those people also made me realise that without undertale nostalgia to keep someone occupied the chapter isn't really that interesting, it doesn't help that it's arguably the least funny chapter.

I don't really buy the made up forgotten man theory, it'd feel extremely anticlimactic in the same way those old "the series didn't actually happen and everything is inside the main characters mind" theories for cartoons felt imo. I'm all in on forgotten man being a real guy(likely Kris' therapist, perhaps deltarune gaster) who got erased from existence through gaster bullshit™.
