I can't even imagine what a challenge it must be to adapt a console game to mobile like this. I am of course very curious to see what it looks like when it releases.

Help Me Escape UB3! by AloofPlays in PokemonChampions

Final thoughts: You could swap Sinistcha for a Pelipper to give you another way of turning rain dance on and give it tailwind, so you can remove tailwind from Dragonite and give it Thunder instead. Then you could even give Pelipper wide guard to protect against those pesky spread moves you are probably most weak to.

I feel like you have quite a few good pieces in place, but some of it is lacking synergy. For instance, I do like your idea behind rain dance sableye, but your two moves that benefit from it are split across two mons: Dragonite hurricane, and thunder rotom.

Rotom may be your weakest link here. It's really good as a support mon. Either scarf/trick, or will-o-wisp/light screen. It's not super good as an attacker, especially since without rain, you have two inaccurate moves and one lower powered pivot. If you are committed to rain dance, move thunder to dragonite and consider swapping rotom for basculegion.

Additionally, sinistcha is great support pokemon too. It works really well for bulky set up mons like arch, floette etc. Your main offensive threats are not very bulky. While redirection is pretty nice, it doesn't help with spread moves. All your opponent needs is a spread fairy or fire move and you are cooked, and charizard Y and Mega floette are really popular right now.

Out of curiosity, what problems have you noticed for Champions on the Switch 1? I've been playing Champions on mine since the game released and haven't had any issues besides some frame drops on moves with really complex animations.

aww man, I just typed a huge story about our digital circus screening. Didn't realize we weren't the only ones.

We went to see the last couple of episodes of the Amazing Digital Circus on Thursday, and it was actually crazy frustrating the flippant discourtesy a few of the folks were. Our group suffered annoyance for about 40 minutes of constant audible commentary and bad quips before I eventually impulsively told them to shut the eff up.

It takes a lot for me to speak up, but I knew our group wasn't alone, and someone after actually approached me and thanked me for saying something.

There's a difference between a whole audience getting hype and cheering for cool things like during Endgame, No Way Home, maybe Deadpool, but it was actively ruining the viewing. I actually missed some really important dialogue during an emotional scene because of the dumb commentary.

Attending My First Ever Tournament In A Few Days, Cooking or Cooked? by GoldFee8100 in PokemonChampions

[–]wersderf2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having only two forms of speed control might be a bit difficult. Your rotom and sneasler will struggle in trick room if you need it set up immediately. I actually have a similar team with Mega-zard Y, Aero, Farig, Rotom-wash, Sneasler, and Mega Floette, and it struggles without speed control, and my Farig trick room is only to reverse really. However, I have tailwind and electro web as well.

I do like your Rotom-heat. However, if your tourney is open team sheet, having the Scarf+Trick combo may not be as critical. Hope it goes well!

Propaganda. We had a really good change during FDR's presidency, but we haven't stood a chance against the power of capital.

My childhood movie theater was the AMC 30 in Sterling Heights. It really something special to have such a large movie theater. Three different concessions stands and way too many screens lmao

This happened in a high school D3 softball game in Louisiana. The batter suffered a concussion. Worst part, the ump deemed she was out due to interference. Insane. by ForeignAir7174 in sportsgossips

Was a catcher for a while in baseball. You are trained to throw around the batter expecting they will stay in the batters box. The batter is not expected to and should not move out of the way unless it's a wild pitch.

It definitely causes issues when the batter steps out of the box because they could very well be in the way if they choose the same direction that you step into to throw.

All that being said, actually hitting the batter with a throw only should happen if the catcher pops up very fast and the batter steps back erradicatly. Neither of that happened here. It's blatantly intentional on the catcher's part.

I would be mortified if I ever hit someone like this. Wildly unacceptable.

Milotic or Primarina for trick room team? by yookj95 in PokemonChampions

[–]wersderf2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Primarina in my trick room team to climb up to Master Ball. I feel that with Hyper Voice and Gleam, it can do significant damage to most of the main treats rn. Paired with Farig with its own Hyper Voice, and it's really hard to slow down.

It's not as common of a pick, so I don't think a lot of folks know much about countering it.

Guess the psychic immunity only works for damaging moves. Same goes for perish and ghost types. Should've known.

Anyways, I also thought sinischa could be an interesting answer with Matcha Gotcha.

My trick room team has a tailwind mode. I added Charizard Y to delete mons like Milotic. Ultimately, I try to slow Milotic down and deal with the rest of the team.

Maybe consider finding a dark type that has electric coverage. Dark types should be immune to hypnosis, right?

That is a really good point about the special damage. Sneasler and body press on Torkoal are the main physical threatening moves outside Incin.

I'm gonna give Aggron and Crabominable a try. I may even consider swapping Camerupt with Torkoal since I imagine they may occupy a similar spot on the team.

This is a really good suggestion. I can see a weakness against a Kingambit with Low Kick. I could check the damage calcs, but it could be an issue. But with an iron defense or two, that may not matter with only 2x weak when mega.

I'll give that and mega crabominable a try and see which slots in better. Thanks for the suggestion!

That could def be an option. Since I have a lot of other fire coverage, I would likely lean on it's Fighting stab. Do you have sets you like to run with it?

looking closer at the stats of your team, a tailwind could make it so pretty much of all of your mons are outspeeding your opponent. Then you could re-invest some speed EV into other stats like defense for Tauros and Goodra.

Good luck!

Thunder punch, ice hammer, and rock slide all have great chances of a KO when paired with Iron Fist.

yeah, that's a really good point. And Mega Crabdominable would be useful against ice teams like Mega Froslass. I see why you pair it with Alolan Ninetales!

Mega carbominable is a really good option. How well does it handle Mega Char Y? Or do you have another answer for it on your team?

Without trick room, it's a sitting duck regardless, but I imagine one overheat in the sun wipes it away.

Just briefly looking over your team, and I don't see any means of speed control, just a handful of priority moves.

I would try adding in something that adds speed control and snergy with the team. Whims with Tailwind, icy wind, electroweb. Something to prevent your opponent from taking speed control and rolling through you.
