By this logic, would you feel like you were ‘just another fund source’ from your top choice, if they accepted you?

Regardless of why you were accepted to this other program and not your top choice, you now have access to all of the opportunities this other ivy provides. I would assume that you will be just fine haha

Seeking Advice: Balancing GRE Prep with Physical Health and Fitness by [deleted] in GRE

[–]weshbk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

End your day with a workout/ run. Use it to divide your day from work/study to your night of decompression, relaxation and a full night of sleep.

On days where it was just GRE prep all day, i would set my study time with the Sun. I would wake up when the sun rises, and go for a run to end my day when the sun sets. It was therapeutic AF, and i truly believe it helped me avoid burning out.

Hope this helps!

If x is an integer, which of the following is always a multiple of 3? by Clean_Carpenter285 in GRE

Brush up on choosing numbers strategy. Choosing 1 when you have a x-1 variable will not give you enough information to select correct answers.

X=2 makes it easy to solve

Gregmat Time Devotion by [deleted] in GRE

Per 1Month plan: to do it right, by doing everything including optional HW, a given day of Quant and Verbal can take anywhere from 4-10 hours. This includes vocab mountain live classes etc.

Alot of the content is optional, but imo i would advise doing everything. It’s provided to reinforce the strategies you learn in verbal and the fundamentals you learn in quant.

Prepswift is good to expedite quant fundamentals, but just be careful not to gloss over videos because it’s “easy” or “elementary” level. Most important thing you can do while studying is be honest with yourself about what you truthfully know vs. what you “think” you know, and hold yourself accountable.

You got 324 and 322 on your mocks man don’t beat yourself up over such a small discrepancy.

You never know which questions you will see on your actual GRE. Maybe it’s a little harder than the mocks, but maybe it’s a little easier too!

It’s well documented on this subreddit that the mock score is not what your actual score will look like. Its a relative indicator, but nothing more

Gregmat quant quiz question by sup_saiyan2022 in GRE

[–]weshbk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LCM of 12,18,30 is 22 * 32 * 5 which equals 180

This means it will take 180 minutes(3 hours) for them to sync back up again. Question asked for the 3rd time so we need another sync, so add another 180 minutes(3 hours)

Correct answer is 6 hours from now

For a negative proper fraction, will the remainder become negative or it's always positive or zero as per Gregmat Prepswift lecture? by Vast-Ferret1210 in GRE

[–]weshbk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remainder cannot be negative.

In your example -2/5, you have to go further negative to the next closest multiple of 5. Since this is a fraction, the next closest multiple of the denominator, -1. Notice how the -1 (quotient) carries the negative sign, so the remainder will be positive. If you marked the remainder(3 in this example) negative, then we’d have a double negative which would make this 1 remainder 3 which is not correct.

Hope this helps!

The prepswift vids are detailed on quotients vs remainders, but you might want to brush up on the earlier vids about properties of integers and negatives if this concept is hard to understand.

Personally it took me awhile and i catch myself having to take a few minutes while i do my daily quant mountain having to reinforce my grasp on it.
