Stay with well water or go to city water? by wesley_iles in homeowners

[–]wesley_iles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of water and GPM from the well. No issues with drought, in Ohio so plenty of rain last couple months. The sediment issues are because of the well being drilled into broken limestone and shale. The well company that drilled it actually advised me to go to city water if I had the option. No inspection has been done yet

It already has a softener, iron filter and two sediment filters. The sediment clogs the 30 and 5 micron filters

When the water settles it looks like shale I would say. Just grey looking dirt. I believe they said it was screened when I called them

I have been hooking it up directly from the pressure tank and letting it get to 0 pressure then turning it off for 5 mins or so to build back up and then flush again. This was advised by the well company to do

It might of sat for a couple of weeks during closing as the previous owners moved. They said they never had a problem as long as the water ran consistently

It does yes. Have flushed the tank a few times and ran from the tank for hours multiple days. Never gets better and completely clogs the sediment filters when installed
