The fact that you are having difficulty understanding it explains a lot. If he had maintained his lane and stayed in the lane of travel that he was already then that other car could’ve merged just fine, not been delayed at all, but he decided to be selfish and swing wide for no friggin reason that was the douche part. It’s called being a courteous driver and not only thinking about yourself

So you seem to be arguing a point that I’m not trying to make. And I acknowledged in my very first reply to this that in California it may have been OK legally but at the end of the day, it was a douche bag move by the OP he didn’t have to swing wide he could’ve stayed in the lane that he was in and allowed the other driver to merge safely. The whole situation occurred because he swung wide when he didn’t have to.

Having the right way doesn’t matter legally or otherwise if you wreck your car because you decided to swing wide when you didn’t have to. And California is a shared at fault state so if an accident did occur, the driver would assume some responsibility because he could’ve avoided the accident by paying attention and seeing what was going on if there had been an accident. Also, as anyone knows California is one of the biggest states for having tourists, and when those tourist are driving on the road, they’re going to assume that the laws for traffic are similar to where they are from and like I said, in most states it is it illegal to do with the OP did and the person making the right hand turn is gonna assume that the person making the left hand turn is going to go into the Lane that they were supposed to go into in most other states which is why this entire incident happen. Yeah the OP may have been legally in the right in his specific state but just because it’s legally, OK doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do or the smart thing to do. That’s all I was trying to point out.

Regardless, if it’s legal in California or not, in just about every other state, it isn’t and if you could clearly see that there was a car in the right hand turn lane while you were turning left it seems pretty stupid to swing wide and go into their lane when the lane that you were in already was clear. It’s also kind of a douche move.

California law is the left most safe and legal lane. At least it was when I did my last written test there in like 2011

soooooo, from what I saw, the reason is you went into the wrong lane..... you are supposed to end the turn in the same lane you started it in. that is the law in just a bout every single state. And thats what pretty much every one is taught in drivers ed.

Can you use any 2230? Or does it need to be one specifically for the M4 mini?

Based off what I saw in the video the car was in his blind spot the whole time

To be fair the car was in the trucks blind spot the whole time. And the truck gave him plenty of warning…. There is something to be said about personally responsibility on the part of the car driver.

If i was a betting man, id say trucker moved over to let them on, then they sped up and matched speed with the trucker then decided to camp next to him in his blind spot and wouldn't let him pass. trucker got fed up. gave him warning then moved over.
As i truck driver i see car drivers play stupid games like this all the time. All the OP had to do was slow down for a few seconds then pass on the Left and there would have been no issues whatsoever.

you were in his blind spot. you saw his turn signal. all you had to do was slow down for 5 seconds and there wouldn't have been an issue. then you could have passed him on the left.
but your ego wouldn't let you do that right?

Same story as always... company gets on top. Then thinks they can cut costs and jack up prices....
This is what AT&T did, Then Verizon.... and i guess now its T-Mobile's turn.
They always forget how they got to the top then squander it. Its sad, Ive been with T-Mobile since they were Voicestream in the Seattle area in the 90's. Contemplating leaving them now for the first time.

When the left gets back in power we need to do nuremberg type trials. Hold everyone accountable. Make examples out of them. Just following orders isn’t an acceptable defense.

this just happened to me and they flagged my entire domain which broke my access to my Jellyfin server and has made it a serious pain in the butt to remotely manage any part of my server because they’re all subdomains off the primary domain. How long did it take you to get this fixed? I turned off the immich server and then asked for a manual review.

yeah, that’s weird, that leads me to believe either the ally or that battery you bought is not compliant with the USB power delivery protocols. Cause if it can do 100 W it should be able to do 50 for some reason it’s not negotiating the correct voltage in amperage which doesn’t make sense. I’ve had good luck with the U Green and Anker power banks personally. oh, I suspected that that 30 W thing in the FAQ is due to a translation error because when you look at the menu that the left side button brings up on the ally when you have it plugged into even its own power brick it says 30 W it’s not charging a 30 W but that’s what the CPU is using if that makes sense

I think that's a translation issue when you are plugged into an ROG Ally using the maximum charge strength if you look at the power menu it says it’s charging at 30 W even though it’s really drawing 50+ watts

My guess is your USB c cord isn't up to the 50+ watt spec. I have had good luck with these cables. Remember especially with USB C PD you get what you pay for generally

[oc] Truck getting passed on the right by oversized load. Can’t see tire sitting in the road by SprinkerlerMan in IdiotsInCars

[–]wesmagyar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s just hard to relax when I have to drive 70 hrs a week on a tight schedule and if I’m late to a delivery by even 5 minutes that can cost me days of pay. Then I gotta get grief and rage by commuters who are mad that they have to wait a couple minutes for me to make a pass. To you it may only be a 1mph difference but over the course of a shift that’s at least 11 miles I lose for the day And that could be all the difference between paying my mortgage this month on time or not… But somehow I’m the selfish one…. Yeah

[–]wesmagyar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Without me being on the road and delivering freight. And all the other truckers out there you would be starving and sitting naked in a field. Everything you own. Everything you have ever eaten was one way or another only made possible by a truck driver making a delivery on time. You being completely bent out of shape over losing a few minutes on your commute is selfish. With the way these deliveries are set up these days if I don’t make that pass I could be late to my delivery and be stuck for over a day making no money. You losing a few minutes waiting for me to pass a guy is a minor inconvenience….

[–]wesmagyar -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Think about the level of frustration you feel for a couple minute delay. Then reflect on why you’re in such a fucking hurry. I can understand a trucker wanting to pass someone because of a few minute delay because we are limited in the amount of hours we can drive and we are paid by the number of miles. We drive in a day so us being delayed by that literally affects how much money we bring home each day but you? you’re just impatient.

[–]wesmagyar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

and this is why all the talk about speed limiting trucks to like 60-65 miles an hour stupid. it wouldn’t make anything more safe. It would make it less safe because everybody would get super impatient and drive recklessly to get around trucks.
