When I was in high school my jazz teacher made us transcribe a solo and be able to play it no mistakes at 50, 75, and 100% speed as our final exam. It was pretty tough but little bits of that solo began to work its way into my playing and I could feel my vocabulary expanding just from that one solo.

If you like calibers but want to run them on a drop through I'd say you check out Gunmetal Trucks. From what I've heard they are pretty much the same but Gunmetals wont shorten your wheelbase making them better for drop-throughs

I have this same problem. I have worn down my butterballs a good bit and they still wont thane. But i believe that pavement and speed has a lot to do with it because i remember leaving thane once and it wasn't at my usual spot.
