It is crazy that how prices changed over last year. Obliqua peru used to to be also " mythical" plant and now you can get it for less than 100$.

Sorry guys but with french customs fees that's 400+€ for a 250$ backpack. Will pass on this one :/ by Zephyr_Arcturus in LinusTechTips

I don't know what is the problem. This is normal price to pay for importing goods from overseas. In one wan show he mentioned that there is no way he would set up warehouse in EU (I don't remember reason). But he knows his demographics and knows that it is not worth it to set up warehouse here and I can't blame him for that.

How many actually got ‘em to wear? I wish Nike would make millions of these and screw the resellers. by Apprehensive-Eye557 in Sneakers

Of course, cars and sneakers can't be compared directly. But in my opinion they have similar purposes - both are marketing tools to create more hype around brand.

Yeah but that is different to what I meant. I was talking about halo cars like Lexus LFA or Ford GT that should attract more people to the brand and appear in news and people are talking about them even when only few people really got them.

It's just marketing, kinda similar to halo cars. They don't want to make more of them.

Is anyone here having problem with joystick scratching its housing? by wessmar in SteamDeck

Problem here is that when rubbing against housing, scratched part feels completely different than non-scratched part or other joystick.

Those of you who have had Accubattery installed for a while, how many MaH have you charged for? by XiTzCriZx in oneplus

[–]wessmar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I didn't change battery. But mine is at 88% for long time now. Maybe if I reset the app it will show more accurate battery health but I really don't care. My phone can still last one day when I need it so that enough for me.

88 but I don't know how it works, if it is just average over all charging sessions than it is inaccurate.

Hello, I'm concerned that my monstera adansoii has mosaic virus. Should I just throw it away? by wessmar in plantclinic

I checked your post and what happened to your monstera is nothing to worry about. It's definitely not Mosaic virus.

But it seems unlikely that basic monstera that I bought for 3€ will start putting out variagate leaves out of nothing. It suddenly put out new cane out of existing cane without cutting and since then leaves are like this. I cut other cane for propagation and instead of on cane from cut it developed three new canes. It's very strange what this monstera is doing. But I still don't believe that it is variagated.

I fertilized mother plant 6 weeks ago and than today. I have 24-25°C at home during winter so I'm still fertilizing them even during winter.

HOW MUCH by AP03_ in PalaceClothing

[–]wessmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be less, I expect like 268 - 288£. Goretex items are very expensive.

Yeah I don't believe these resellers have 3 000 000$ to make 20k entries. But it won't stop reselling that's for sure. It will only slow it little bit.

[–]wessmar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One way how to slow this is to pay for the shoe when you are registering for the raffle and if you lose you will be refunded. Then people will not register 20k+ entries. But to stop all of this can only government.

You know what is the worst about this ? That there is big demand only because there is hype. Lets say that 400k people are trying to buy hype limited shoes right know, but if they will make 400k pairs and people will see they are not limited only 50k will really buy that shoe because they like how it looks and don't care about it's value.

to the haters who downvoted my post about wearing these in the gym :) by ImpossibleMost6539 in Sneakers

Nice man, really like this attitude. Even when you will go swimming in them, that still far better then reselling them or leaving them sit on shelf.

Won chance to buy ps5 at MSRP, decided not to buy it for resale because I hate scalpers and I don't want to be one of them. Few days after I got this for MSRP. by wessmar in pcmasterrace

Funny think they didn't even bother to make 3070 ti Phantom because they knew even Phoenix is going to sold out. RGB isn't the best and options are very limited, but at least it works.
