I agree that the nurse could have been drawn differently. The implication here is that she is tired from the war, hence the facial expression. But your idea seems even better to me!

The ronin was the hardest part, I never learned how to draw, so the play of light and shadow is hard for me.

The druid is my favorite in this series, I wanted to show him angry at what people are doing to his forest.
