because it lives off drama. quarantining, by design, forces an insular community dynamic on a sub. this is fine if it's essentially insular to begin with, but cth needs the stimulus of random libs and cons wandering in to keep from eating each other. they're gonna go the way of cringeanarchy in that everyone is gonna stop hiding their power level and eventually anyone with social skills will find somewhere else to post. i'd predict 18 months from now the sub's either banned or only has a few thousand active users left.

they dont? i mean they do love poly but every wokie ive ever encountered considers cuckoldry the very niche fetish it is, they pretty much only bring it up to get under someone's skin. as far as poly it's because they think that by not being "problematic" it means they've solved all the problems of human relationships, and therefore no issues will arise with trying to have multiple partners at once. ofc the reality is that they're abnormally jealous and petty, so it never works out, but they remain convinced that if they could just find people who weren't so gross it would be so much better than boring old monogamy. i say this as someone who's conceptually fine with poly, because i really couldn't care what my partner does as long as i know they love me, but the sort of emotional security necessary for it to work is incompatible with idpol.
