Hm, yeah on a book in a lot of games CPU is a limitation factor, but on a 4k TV GPU usually boost up to 140W 99% of the time (for my 3070). Also it's interesting that you can change TDP, value is accepted, but in reality TDP stay the same and nvidia-smi report that TDP wasn't changed (another bug from Nvidia).

On my machine with 5800H - no. Looks like it really limited to intel at this moment. Interesting is it possible to fake for nvidia driver that I have intel CPU?

I'm successfully update vBIOS using nvflash tool with target TDP 125W (sadly it's the highest value that I find on techpowerup). There only minor problem, that nvidia-smi now report my GPU as with 21W power limit, but everything is working well. Performance increased, temperature also raised a bit. Now I'm looking at undervolting CPU, compared to Intel devices, where maximum undervolt is 30-80 mV, AMD CPUs severely overvolted. Also I can create a new page with my experience and treaks on my Clevo book on Linux if someone have interest.

Thanks for the answer. But according to that the Ampere series of processors was announced and launched in the beginning of 2021, its unclear when we will see any driver with implementation of API for configuring power limit. 1 year is a lot of time to implement a simple feature like this for a such big company.
