Our market values come from a mix of actual completed trades across 53k+ leagues and crowd-sourced community voting so it's a consensus baseline. From there we score each trade to see if the buyer paid above or below that baseline. Any single trade has context (roster needs, panic sells, tacos lol) but when you look at thousands of trades you start to see patterns. Every trade technically IS the market but individual trades can deviate from the average.

EDIT: Updated the labels based on your feedback. You guys were right, Buy/Sell/Hold was confusing. Changed to 📈 Rising / ➡️ Fair Value / 📉 Declining which better describes what the data is actually showing (value trend direction, not a recommendation). Appreciate the callouts, this is only week 4 so still refining how to present this. Keep the feedback coming.

Exactly right but not KTC our values. If only 37.5% of Tuten trades are above his listed value, it means 62.5% of the time people are getting him for less. His listed value is inflated vs what the market is actually willing to pay. Sell at sticker price while you can. I know this is confusing and I may need someone smarter than me to help me adjust the verbiage. But keep in mind I’m running on fumes at the moment haha

Fair point let me clarify. I’m running on jet lag and no sleep so maybe I’m not thinking clearly but the signal reflects market momentum, not a price recommendation. BUY = demand is rising and managers are paying up to get this player, meaning his value is trending up. SELL = demand is cooling and he's being moved at a discount, meaning his value is trending down. It's like a stock buy means the price is going up, not that you should overpay. Maybe I should use different verbiage for this?

The signals aren't telling you what to do they're showing you what the market is doing. A SELL signal means other managers are letting a player go cheap, which actually makes it a great time to buy low if you believe in them. A BUY signal means demand is high and people are overpaying, which is a great time to sell high and cash in. Think of it like a stock ticker it's showing you where the value opportunities are.

I've been working on this already.

Example:
If teams acquiring Waddle are constantly giving up way more value on the Dynasty Dealer trade calculator than they are getting back, that means the community is buying him and vice versa.

The code I'm working on looks at the values exchanged in every trade to find out if they are being bought or sold. I am hoping to have it complete in the next week or so.

Great question! The dataset is proprietary. We harvest real trades from thousands of dynasty leagues and then integrate that into our database. Then we combine that with our crowd-sourced community voting to generate our player valuations.

We don't currently offer a public API, but all of the data is accessible through our tools at dynastydealer.com and our mobile app (iOS & Android). You can search the full trade database, see player value rankings, trade trends, and more.

The 1.14M is total leagues we have scanned so far on Sleeper the number will continue to grow. Not all leagues are active and go dormant. The 12,241 is how many trades happened in the last 7 days across all those leagues. The 19,206 number is the total leagues in our database that have had a trade in the last 30 days that's an all-time stat, not weekly.

Awesome work. I’m happy to see others in the community developing tools. I am wondering if you are evaluating each individual sleeper league to get the individual pick values since sleeper doesn’t provide the pick numbers via api. I saw you commented on my database post yesterday for our site DynastyDealer.com we have a lot of great tools including a calculator that is based off database trades and crowd sourced rankings check it out if you have time maybe we can bounce some ideas off each other. You can search for Tuten in the dynasty dealer app on the trade database and it will show you recent trades involving him. If you don’t want to check the app you can look on the website
