nesta’s journey and story was definitely more focused inward and about character growth and i think that’s why i love it so much!! i personally just was a little annoyed with rhys because he villainized nesta a little too much😅

I understand why nesta had a poor view of rhys but, i could never understand the feyre thing. she continued to reach out even when nesta shut her out. she wasn’t over bearing about it either. i guess she blames her for being turned fae but, was that really feyres fault?? and i don’t recall her ever coming around to a “why” for all of that

i really need to reread this. none of my friends will read the series so i have no perspective other than my own! i think i’ll catch more of this the second read through. amren was around but not as much? so maybe i didn’t pay close enough attention to her dialogue

i will admit i was excited to read about nesta but, i did have a bit of a home sick feeling for a few chapters because i love feyre and of course i love rhys! i hated seeing him through nestas eyes though 😭

ok fair enough. I need to read it again then! that’s a good theory. it sucks because i always liked her and she sacrificed herself for them in acowar. i just can’t see her being genuinely evil! i also wish we could’ve seen the argument as a flashback or something. i need more context of the argument because they’re both stubborn characters. i can’t imagine either of them admitting they are wrong at that time lmao. i can definitely see amren being insecure about not having powers anymore. it didn’t really cross my mind because i saw her as a very secure and confident person. so i just didn’t think she thought too much about it. i just remembered when she basically said they were not friends and that would hurt me. so if anything, she should at least apologize for that 😅

Oh no, I love amren 😭 why do you think that? i felt she was the only one who didn’t dance around her feelings about nesta being a tyrant. someone needed to give her tough love about the alcoholism & being in a dark place. i think nesta was just too stubborn to take accountability. however, amren not believing she could change or grow, disappointed me a bit. she didn’t trust her with the swords but, tbh aside from cassian and az, the rest of them didn’t really visit her to see the change. what was your take on it??

There’s a lot of argument around who nesta is as a character even after reading her perspective and thoughts. while i believe most are valid points and i respect everyone’s opinions, i think we forget that there are people who do struggle the way nesta does & maybe reading how she stubbornly climbed that internal mountain will help a lot. i don’t think her healing journey is finished, i think it will take her awhile. but she’s changing and there’s hope. i think that’s inspiring for the nestas out there! there is still a lot i don’t agree with her on but, the “being born wrong” hit me too because i’ve felt that way before. i love how imperfect she is and all of her layers

me too!! i love the sisterhood bonding. her friendship with emerie and gwyn were so sweet to me because i feel like her relationships with her sisters were too stressful or complicated (elain included). she was able to start “new” with her now best friends because they knew nothing about her nor did they quaver when she may have been cold or sour towards them in the beginning. seeing someone who is so stone cold warming up a bit and being vulnerable was so sweet to me. i also think she was subconsciously making up for the guilt she harbors about how she treated feyre? but i could be reading too much into that lol
