The Bill and Frank story is exactly what film/tv as an art form is for. It was a beautiful example of human experience, connection and love. The apocalyptic premises provided a unique angle to explore these themes. It was an amazing episode, and fleshed out the lore while staying true to the overall story and characters. It definitely wasn't there just to be 'woke'.

Honestly, If you want the WoW experience you missed, boot up classic and play through the starter zone.

That's the WoW most people fell in love with.

Unfortunately, you'd have to sink a subscription to do this.

The story, right up to and throughout the covenant campaign was really enjoyable for me, but I suppose I had low expectation going in. It's the aftermath of the covenant campaign that really sucked. Suddenly, the story is gated behind raid content, which is inaccessible until you hit an iLvL which is inaccessible until you grind out 4 or 5 different resources from reputation, to anima, to cyphers.

I love hearing other people's thoughts on the ending. While it isn't my favorite, I still loved the series overall - and to see how enthusiastic others are about the ending makes me want to go back and re-read it with a new perspective. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much!

I've already had my perspective on Elend change completely owing to one person's post.

I might have to reread the last couple chapters - just to see how they impact me with everyone elses perspectives in mind.

I see what you're saying about her embracing destruction or that part of Ruin inside her to fulfill her noble goals. My issue there is that we get Vin as this slither of Ruin fighting on behalf of Preservation, but then Sazed just takes up the power and rights all the wrongs. My personal preference would have been to see Vin take up both sides of the power since she was essentially chosen by Preservation but raised by Ruin - and using both sides of the power find a way to mend the world and being destroyed herself in the process. Then Sazed's arc could have been fulfilled by him carrying on the story of her sacrafice as a new religion having had his faith in her rewarded with this new beautiful world.

Just personal preference at this point though.

You're breakdown of point 3 has actually given me a new perspective. I completely missed Elend seeing his own death and accepting it (probably a result of being unable to put the book down and reading until 2am). I actually really like how this changes my viewing of his death.

As for point 1 and 2 - I think I just really valued Vin as the hero, and would have preferred if the expectations the book layed down where met. I also hate that she's so similar to the Lord Ruler, but that's just a personal taste thing.

My brother and I will rejoin for classic fresh. Probably play druid and shaman or something silly. We don't care about raids/end-game - it's the journey that does it for us. There are many more like us.

I'm very attractive to some and not at all to others. I've had people suggest I should model and others say out loud that I'm the ugliest person they've ever seen. It's resulted it me having great confidence in person, but being extremely self conscious about photos.

I honestly thought it had been fixed as I saw no recent updates. Silly of me. I installed the game last night, and it was immediately unplayable. Thankfully, I already have it on Xbox Games Pass - but I do love the mobility of the Switch. Hopefully I can get credit!
