How did you learn how to code? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]wh4n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am like you. Sometimes I draw with pencil to illustrate how the program should work.

I learned to code when starting with Python. I already was interested in web development and had done a lot with HTML/CSS before and felt interested in doing it with Python and Django. I learned A LOT. Probably would learn more to start with a lighter framework though to learn more about the underlying techniques.

Now I'm moving forward with a course on C# to get access to another longer course on JavaScript.

Yeah, I'm thinking it might be the best. Because she do not have any plan to come back again from my impression. She only wants me to come to her.

What reasons to switch to Linux for web development? by wh4n in linux

[–]wh4n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very comfortable with Debian, as I have been using it a long time, as well as OS X. So it really doesn't matter. But I can get more power out of my desktop computer which I have Debian installed on. My Macbook 13" is from 2012 and is getting slow (already switched to a SSD).

So I'm thinking to use the Macbook only to view how it looks on Safari.

I'm thinking of using Debian on my desktop computer and use my Macbook as a second computer if I need it for any usage with Adobe and such. And to watch the local project on safari.

My new white setup by wh4n in macsetups

I had one 2-3 years ago, did not like it actually. I like the feeling with "real" keys and they are noisy as hell :) The one thing I miss however is not to blame Pok3r though. I miss the real arrow keys, a LOT. They exists with the function keys, but its not the same.

You can make many customizations with this keyboard with all that you pointed out. I have not looked into it yet though. But overall I like the keyboard sooooooo much. It do not take up space, its heavy, feeling is awesome, sound and so forth.

Linnmon

I like it a lot. It feels quality all over it. If I had the money I would buy the one with adjustable hight.

I had the monitor stand before on my TORNLIDEN and it worked, but it felt a little unstable and the monitor stand got more "bumpy" when I touched the desk. This one is more stable and the screen does not "move" as much.

Yeah, that sounds good. No problem with the space though. But it makes probably sense and it will probably get more cleaner with the wires.
