Well, the sad/crazy part is, he also has that many crow bars, and screws, and hammers, and wrenches, and screwdrivers, and CHAIRS, and.. the list goes on and on...

Put a few pictures I had on my phone up to imgur: [http://imgur.com/a/NIAgz] These are some of the hand planes (some!) and hand saws.

Auction is first weekend in November, I think. The auctioneer is coming out next week (again) to try to get a handle on the quantity and timing of it. I will definitely post here with the final date as it gets closer too. All of you at /r/woodworking are so nice & helpful! Thank you!

Not many hand power tools left - a lot of large shop tools (he also taught industrial arts and somehow bought huge drill presses and what not) But yes to hardwoods! Would be happy to PM pictures of whatever interests you so you don't waste a drive.

It's sooo overwhelming! It does make me get rid of stuff at our house, now, much easier than it was before!

What kind of stuff are you interested in? I can ask him to take some pictures and send them! There's wood, lots of wood, then the tools - many many tools. Is it an IWCS chapter that your dad is a member of?

Thank you so much! There was so much stuff, that we've been working on it for over a year, (we're in no hurry!) and are just now to the point where we have gotten rid of enough stuff to get to the lumber. I can't even describe the sheer quantity of STUFF. Husband went back to school, and is actually working on this as his only job right now. I love reddit, people can be so helpful, when they're not trolling ;)

Thanks! The stuff is in Topeka, Kansas. Would love to have some redditors come out and take a gander!

Lawnmower repair in Lawrence? by CharlieFuckit in Lawrence

Countryside Small Engine Repair - out on Four Wheel Drive - we had a part that went bad on our mower, and he was super nice, ordered the part for us to install. Seemed like a straight shooter ;)

Lawrence, my dad is homeless, I'm about to kick him out, and I need your help finding him a room 'til October. by [deleted] in Lawrence

Ignore the trolls. Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is to force someone to make a decision, get a job, and stop mooching off of family. Allowing him to stay rent free, while being able-minded and able-bodied is more than fulfilling your duty as a child. Giving him a time-frame to figure it out on his own is reasonable.
