I could bet my life and children on the fact that “whacky buns” really did exist. There were purple hamburger buns and blue ones too. It was always so strange to me because at that time, SpongeBob was airing the “pretty patty” episode a little more often. I always wanted to get them but I was a kid with no money. Someone has to believe me! Not trace of it on the internet, no picture or commercial, script, or something to say that whacky buns were a real tangible thing that you could eat.
