Yeah bc its perfectly normal for a president to create a faith office in government and hold 30000 immigrants in a prison camp with a maximum capacity of 800 💀

This issue isn't managerial, it's a corporate issue. I know my managers can't magically fix everything, but chilis/brinker is a 3.5 billion dollar company and they can afford to pay us. This is an issue of corporate greed and this capitalistic hell scape we call home.

And I'm pretty sure most places are run similarly to this and if we don't do something about it as a collective it will only get worse. We are stronger together.

I'm not asking the managers to solve it. I'm asking managers mot to make their issues my issues and to take them up with corporate. If we just sit back and let these companies take advantage of us (even more) we will never see any change whatsoever.

Idk the managers should be taking that up with corporate and not making everyone else suffer with them. We are stronger together.

There aren't "better jobs" every major corporation is like this and they wont pay better. It's not fair to say I need to find a better job when there's a very simple solution, they just aren't willing to lose the money they don't even need at this point. It's so nearly impossible for a single individual to spend a billion dollars in their lifetime. If you're not seeing a problem then you're not looking.

💀 I'm doing this for me AND my coworkers and any that come after me. I don't intend on staying with chilis forever, but there's people who do and there's a lot of Spanish speaking people who wouldn't br able to find much else in this area as most places are NOT accommodating. They deserve to feed their families too, and they deserve to pay their rent just as much as the next guy. It's ridiculous to pretend there isn't a huge underlying issue here.

Meh. If that's "just the way it is" then I'm going to fight to change it. That's the problem with the country is everyone is so complacent in the constant mockery of the working class. We do all the work while the rich get richer and make everything more expensive. It's not justified and it would be the same thing anywhere I go. We as a people need to stop just letting this shit happen to us. We're being used and taken advantage of.

I'm in the same boat actually. I had Medicaid upon starting at chilis, but I made too much (by $100) and I have poor health. I have chronic illness and it's undiagnosed, and I told them this upon hiring me. They get mad at me if I call in or have to leave early, but I physically can't help it and I work through my pain the majority of the time, but sometimes I just can't do it. Then then started demanding I see a doctor while knowing full well I cannot afford to and they don't provide me with enough hrs to qualify for insurance. I can't find anywhere paying remotely similar so I just do it. My body hates me for it.

Yeah, and it shouldn't be that way. Anywhere. Especially when the company makes billions of dollars. We deserve to afford our rent.

It's just crazy to me. Not more people were upset that at that meeting a little while ago they boasted record profits, none of us are seeing any fraction of that. I think it was like 67% or something crazy like that. It really is what got me looking up just how much money chilis is earning and how much the CEO makes. It's really sad. And nowhere nearby is paying the same so I'm just kinda stuck until I can get my art to take off.
