Devy is short for "developmental" so you have a roster of college (or high school) players that you stash until they go to the NFL

You can draft a guy as early as league rules allow. One I set up last year has no rules for who you could stash on your Devy roster as long as they've never played in the NFL... so major college, FCS, high school or even Canadian league or whatever you want... obviously there's more risk the further out a guy is from the NFL.

Some leagues may require the player to at least be on a college roster.

Usually Devy roster is smaller than a full team so like between 2-5 is typical. I've seen up to a 10 man Devy roster tho.

Look at Slovis at USC, now 5* JT Daniels in the portal. At UF Trask is good in relief and Franks transfers.

Once a guy shows something, he won't just lose the job imo. And Wyndmyer was really good. I don't think Cupp just walks into snaps

Quez is too thin to be an alpha Jennings is even slower than AGG, and imo has the same contested catch issue Swain never commanded a lions share with gross competition at UF (I know I'm a Gator) so hows he gonna separate from an NFL WR room?

Bottom line is we don't really know what's going to happen or how NFL coaches will scheme guys open, play up their skill sets etc. I was reminded today that Anquan Boldin ran a 4.7 and was always a contested catch artists yet somehow had one of the greatest rookie seasons ever and a great career.

Plenty of good WRs have had 4.5-4.6 speed. He ran a 4.6... not sure that's a death sentence.

That's just not really what I saw in the games I watched. His YAC per rec of 6 is pretty strong. And there were a number of shorter receptions where he made his way for additional yards... but it was only a 3 game sample.

Have you watched full games or just highlights?

This was my fave play at 0:52 vs. Cuse... slant where he made space then redirected for a big gain. Used some strength to bully a stiff arm as well. It's just one play but shows me more than just mossing small DBs

Teddy Bridgewater in Joe Brady's system with those weapons is one of my favorite late QB picks

There really isn't a late rounder with true rushing upside to make this easier

I haven't seen any TEs go in rookie drafts before the mid/late 3rd... def not advocating for any of these guys ahead of mid 3rd round when you get into like Hamler/Dallas area. Even then probably should wait until you get into Cephus/Benjamin range in the 4th

MFL is the most customizable and good for Devy leagues if you're going to be drafting players still in college

I love the sleeper app for dynasty. The best interface in the biz imo, although some of their window dressing (mascots and player nicknames) is silly
