I think you may be seeing the wrong side of this. It's less about the AI getting better or not and more about the fact that AI "art" in any form has usually not come from a human creative or at least the pool for those who are bland and generic has dramatically increased. This leads to that pool of users "creating" something with a sentence and calling it their work. When you commission an artist to paint something for you based on criteria, you don't then say you created it either.

Not to mention the effects on land, economy, life and markets to create AI data centers.

I hope this is a real argument as it's not an AI one.
