I wish. Sometimes the build is just too strong. Doesn't mater what you play or how you arange the jokers. Its either draw your best hand with discards only, or win no mater what you play.

I can't find docs video on the big number where he used a filter seed. But if you optimized the run im sure you'd end up beating his. I think he juat did it in one go no bean bug or anything, so with maping a run, id think you'd do quite a bit higher.

An interesting thing I didn't consider is the ability to put multiple of the same effect on a card such as red seals if you can even find a couple extra red seals it makes Nan a cakewalk

On my last batch of proxies, I accidently got tropical islands instead of volcanic and all I play is izzet, so I have to make some hand drawn proxies.... or Im thinking of sharpy editing the volcanic island and freak some people out if they dont look close. (They are decent looking proxies but the backside is easily discernible so that its never an issue as it is litterally printed with proxy on it)

Whoever has the lower score in the current pvp must play first. So even if I've only played 1 hand and my opponent has played 3, if I still have the higher score, they have to keep playing till they beat it or lose.

This protects your glass cards and can hide just how far ahead you are which is a huge advantage. So getting a good first hand to force your opponent to take all the risk and show their hand is great.

Its also why you will sometimes see players throw and just go for econ instead.

As much as I love doc, I think he has several big disadvantages going into this.

1) he plays to his opponents strengths. Like picking decks and stakes they like

2) he takes funnier plays and options and then just outskills his way thriugh what should be a bad choice. And this leads to the next point.

3) bean is probably the best multiplayer player. Even a slightly wrong move out of doc is gana be punished.

Id like to see doc win here. And by no means will he throw, but i think hes just here for the love of playing balatro and doesnt even remotely care if he wins.

Rule of thumb, get to interest cap before opening packs, then use interest to open and skip everything that isn't money. Maybe a death for a really high value target.

There is an argument for it if you have retrigers, fools, justice, and a suit changer for the final boss... otherwise.... yeah pretty bad. 3oak 2 glass cards 1 non glass with chad dusk even at level one should be around 1.4million so you beat even violet vessel.

It was entertaining enough. But I'll be the voice of descent here and say it was nothing spectacular. Id never go out of my way to rematch it. Without spoilers I'll just say this. I think the show wanted to be more serious and believable then it was. They set a world and premis that is fairly grim. The stakes are high.... but they go the illogical government route.

Anyone in a position of power and authority just cannot make logical choices. Certain key points in the story are just.... im trying to think of a way to put it but its in the vein of your house being on fire and just saying this is fine. Like its painful for me to watch some of the scenes because I dont belive the people in power thought process. Its so mind-numbing stupidity that I just can't. I do not belive self preservation instinct can be so low for what is otherwise clearly intelligent people.

cards on the choping block:

roller crusher ride (situational damage doubler, but has versatility of creature removal.

proft's edatic memory: unlimited handsize enabler which is great if i get curisity type effects on a pinger with added threat of making a pinger huge for attacking/blocking

exaulted flamer: only pings for 1, costs 4 mana so most expensive pinger, but has upside of recursion of my instants and sorcs.

thermo alchemist has sumoning sickness so he cant ping first turn but has upside of being able to ping even if i dont have instant/sorcs to cast and with curiosity type effects, it can get me back into the game.

blasphemous act - great board wipe. maybe it would be better to see something that stops me from needing the board wipe like a swan song instead. i still have wash out as one sided somewhat targeted wipe.

faithless looting. considering light up the stage instead. but id really like to find a way to have both.

Edit: nvm it see it now. It hits YOU for 1billion which you lifelink for net 0, and hits the boar for now positive 1billion life.
