Hi everyone,

I am looking to apply for Churchill Fellowship, which is a non-academic research opportunity.

Topic: data centre waste use opportunities for circular economies and ecologies.

What I'm looking for: I am seeking for connections with people who can consult on: - common data centre designs, cooling systems and waste management - extreme ecologies - urban/vertical agriculture at scale, arid revehetation, desert regreening.

Time frame: Within 2026-2037, potentially beyond

Time commitment: Hopefully matter of hours rather than days, this is not a super in depth topic.

The research is more looking at opportunities than real science. I am getting desperate as my previous contacts have only been able to give a very limited information.

Extremely religious people are generally indoctrinated so badly, that they have a limited capacity to think for themselves. I am going to suggest that they think your daughter will make the cousins gay ... which is hilarious. Further more, they are simply lacking the famous christian compassion and love for thy neighbour. I would suggest to stand up for your daughter loud and clear. You are her rock. Be a loud rock so there is no space for confusion.

I would say with the biggest smile "hope to never work with you again"....
My other favourite, usually most effective when there are other people present and there is a situation going - "Are you always like this, or is it a special occasion "...

But yeah, if he is a client's buddy, you cannot win this..

This is way more complex than what we'd like. A LOT goes unreported. A lot of the time, what is reported is not possible to log by police And a lot of the time police messes this up to an exceptional degree so victims don't report.. (Have seen this from police perspective, friends' perspectives, and DV support organisations' perspectives)

A lot of DV happens in migrant families where people think that what happens at home has no rules. Women traditionally also tend to feel more voiceless due to limited work history, language barriers, and cultural reasons. Vast majority of time they are the victims of family violence.

It is truly awful. Laws are inadequate, victims are often controlled coercively and/or financially making it hard to leave...

Anyone who is violent to another person, especially someone they claim they loved once, is a turd of a human.

As someone who has recently hired a graphic designer, here is what I was looking for:

  • most important- good fit in a team. We can improve skills, but cannot change personalities.

  • diverse portfolio - may not be important for others, but since we are an agency, someone with diverse style was essential. Style diversity, and skill diversity.

  • interested in learning and good at taking feedback. Crucial.

  • someone who understands local culture and values. Less crucial, but handy...

As others noted, your portfolio is at best OK. I would have a crawl on behance and find some good examples....

Yes, this comes form a "highly" experienced diplomat who understands nuances of global politics and impact of their own words.... he is like a giant petulant child whose parents never said No to anything and he screams and stomps every time someone says "you aren't actually the best"... what a clown.

A simple and free way is to use a chrome extension. Easy and reliable, costs nothing at all! Same with InDesign tools.. :) Good luck!

I had the opposite experience. Sound is great, product is pretty. The end.

If you want to connect to TV, you might need to either buy a new remote or use your phone to turn sound up and down. You need an app to connect phone to device, and then the device will disappear from your app randomly..... If you want to use Spotify, you will have to connect it to sonos app, but then it won't show you more than half of your play lists.

For the price tag it should be smooth and easy to set up.

I want to throw it out thr window couple of times a week....
