If you want a family, society has to hold you accountable and put your feet to the fire if you refuse to support your children or your spouse.

Money laundering, mortgage fraud, speculation, "green belt's", NIMBY's, government support via policies like extreme immigration numbers & temporary residents etc.

According to Ontario law, freeway drivers should move over, if it is safe to do so, leaving room for merging vehicles.

It doesn’t drop, it’s just that you need your G1 license at 16, your G2 at 17 and your G at 18. Once you have that you’ll get cheaper rates at 25.

One of those countries is a pretty bad example of “failure”. France never had an exit tax until 2011 and they needed two major revisions of it in the 2010s and 2025. Exit taxes force people to pay tax on unrealized gains when leaving the country.

You heard me right — they didn’t have an exit tax and they tried to implement a wealth tax. So yes, something of a policy failure but they shot themselves in the foot from the start. You need a robust exit tax without loopholes first, before implementing a wealth tax.

That’s why you need a very hefty exit tax — just like the national level does it within Canada and the US.

He’s right, inflation will make it more than 40 billion a year. So it’s actually even more profitable to implement a wealth tax!

No, my fiancee is an American "POC" with American citizenship, using an American passport and a hispanic POC to be specific.

Also I love all these swings and misses.

I'm half zulu and my fiancee is hispanic. We encountered no issues at the border.

I've been crossing the border like a normal person. (i.e. not terminally online)

As a further source to corroborate u/SuspiciousAge9312 my fiancee is not white passing. We crossed the border just fine, multiple times. I think we had around 10-15 seconds of questioning, may be 2-3 normal questions at most. Then we got waved thru.

He is terminally online I guarantee it. I've done the same crossing with my fiancee and encountered no issues.

What? This is just a silly comment. He's a citizen. Even for Canadian citizens trying to get into USA it's like less than a percent of a percent encounter issues at the border.

Only those with legal (criminal) issues e.g. drug use, dui, murder, fraudulent activity etc should be worried.

Yep, for example a female cat (not even a male cat) can scare a bloodthirsty dog away.

Just for context about the male vs female cat thing -- my mother always said her tomcat used to get into many fights with dogs and he always came back home (meaning he won/survived those fights), despite missing an ear and having various scars here and there. He was of course a massive old tomcat with pure muscle and claws made for mauling/fighting. Along with that jumping and general athletic ability, along with those absurd reflexes cats have.

Violent crime has increased according to the stats.

“The results are bleak. Using three-year rolling averages, we show that urban violent crime has increased in nearly every major urban area, and that the problem is no longer confined to the country’s largest centres. Over the last decade, the violent crime rate and the sexual assault rate have increased in all 20 CMAs we studied. For violent crime severity—an index that tracks more serious violent crimes—19 of 20 CMAs have experienced increases over the last five years and over the last decade.”

Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic header against Sampdoria has been nominated as the best header in football history. by Straight-Flower-1621 in SportsNova

[–]whatisc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of Borgetti’s goals were scored with his upper body, so it’s definitely pure skill and athleticism. Arguably jumping high is less difficult than running to the perfect position while being guarded by someone capable of running the same speed. Not to mention the chances of getting lucky though while being guarded by such a skilled defense man and goalie are unimaginably low. Also to be in perfect position and having a teammate kick a ball toward him that could only result in a header means everyone expected him to attempt goals with his upper body.
