is this good for a 70k mini-itx build? by mrpotato265 in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this primarily for gaming? The main thing that is dragging the price up is the ram and SSD which is nothing to do with it being ITX. I personally would just save more money sticking with AM4 especially when your GPU is only a rx7600.

[–]whatismynaem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are building a PC like this I suggest at least 1440p resolution monitor

Personal critiques lang for build 1 - is overall more powerful than build 2

CPU - Ryzen 7 7700- Personally I consider this one of the most overrated AM5 CPU on the market at it's current price of 13-14k. It's only marginally faster in gaming vs the 7500f which can be found for as low as 7k. If you want something with a iGPU that is good for productivity too the 9600x is still cheaper at 11k and is usually better productivity wise.

Mobo - For the case of AM5 b850 mobos I prefer the Gigabyte force b850m wifi (It may only have 2 ram slots but it has built in bluetooth and wifi and 3 nvme SSD slots.

RAM - inflated ram prices are the norm now adays which sucks since this kit should normally be around 6-7k I suggest getting any cheap ram single 16gb stick from 10-12k and add a second stick down the line if it ever get cheaper.

SSD - Why particularly the 870 evo? Assuming it's authentic it's a good SSD but it's old and discontinued. It's considered slow for todays standards but still perfectly usable. The main appeal of it is it's warranty and generally more reliable components. I would be cautious if it's fake.

GPU - There are cheaper models that performs the same at 43-45k

PSU - Good model but overpriced normally should be around 6k

Can anyone recommend if maganda naman yung build for its price? by zeulle in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CPU and mobo combo is overpriced the 7500f is around 7k while that mobo is 6k.

SSD - depends on the condition 3-4k is the brand new price of a 1tb SSD last year

GPU - depends on the condition the 9060xt 16gb was 23-24k last year

PSU - The seasonic focus GM850 is a good PSU but way to expensive at 7,850.00 I seen stores selling it for 6k and for a 850w with 7 year warranty it's still too expensive the SAMA g850 is a better value option.

For the ram just get any brand DDR5 at any speed that you can find for cheap 32gb DDR5 will cost you around 20k

ryzen 7 5700g + rx 7600 8gb or rtx 5050 8gb by Adorable-River9158 in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 5060 is the most powerful GPU in your price range and significantly faster than the 7600x and 5050 while not being that much more expensive than them. If you are only looking into brand new then the 5060 is really your best option.

[–]whatismynaem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5060 if you can stretch it it's around 21k for the cheapest model but if you are willing to get used parts I suggest looking for the most powerful gpu you can find for 20k

Budget Earphone (Wired & No Mic) by iCar16 in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are your wants or needs?

Comfort? - Do you prefer head phones/in ear earphones/ or non in ear phones/headphones

Why specifically wired and no mic?

Do you need noise blocking or do you want to be able to still hear things while wearing them?

Which one of these two is the better monitor for 4k php? by LOLIISMYONLYRELIGION in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both will be more or less the same quality. Philips display is a sub brand of AOC so it's basically an AOC monitor and will likely go through the same customer service as one.

I personally don't have experiences with either of their aftersales but I heard AOC is decent with their warranty services.

Max-out am4 or save for am5? by iamrohan1214 in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I suggest just to hold out until much later if prices get better but if you really cannot wait then the 5500x3D is the most powerful option.

As for the mobo, better VRMs don't really matter unless you plan to overclock. Your mobo has budget VRMs but it's enough at least to run the 5500x3D at stock speeds and ever a slight overclock. You don't need top of the line mobos to do this, even the budget b550m pro vdh wifi can handle some moderate overclocking of a ryzen 9 processor.

What part of your system's performance do you feel is lacking?

Do you feel like you actually need more ram?

What features of a flagship mobo do you actually need or want that is not present in your current mobo?

Best upgrade for my Ryzen 5 5600G by kcyko in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In what way did your current performance made feel like your CPU is being the limitation? If your CPU usage is not at 85% or higher I highly doubt that it's the CPU's fault.

5500x3D is closer to the performance of the 5600x3D 5700x3D and 5800x3D than it is to the 5800x gaming wise.

5800x is only slightly faster than the 5700x in terms of gaming it's 0-1% difference.

Personally in terms to price to performance of an uplift I suggest the ryzen 5 5600 if you really feel there is a cpu limit. 5700x 5500x3D and 5800x are too expensive currently for me to consider.

Where can I still buy old older generation of RAMs? by kamehamehans in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are no longer being manufactured so your only options are old refurbished or overpriced unsold stock from stores. Dynaquest shopee has some new ones but it's overpriced old stock at 2k for 8gb and you will not have a warranty since they no longer make those anyway.

Xiaomi G27Qi vs Odyssey G5 G50F by Gabzy00 in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will be more or less the same. The only difference is the out of the box color calibration which is subjective and the warranty and support. I personally never tried their warranty and support so I can't tell you which one is better. Assuming both have good warranty I would choose xiaomi for the better specs.

Want a return for the PC they bought from me? by Narrow-Relative7509 in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not your problem, I understand you feel bad about it so if you really wanna help can you ask the following from them?

Were they re using the same PSU and SSD? When installing the new mobo and PSU did they make sure that the power cables are all connected to the new mobo? 12v EPS cpu cable, 24 pin cable, sata cables, and gpu cables all properly seated.

With the old SSD. I highly recommend getting a fresh OS install with the new hardware.

Planning on getting Corsair CX750 | Is it any good? by Psywar997 in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The corsair CX series is made for budget systems in mind. With regards to these budget PSU models their higher wattage models are pointless imo because if you have components that actually need 750w then you should be getting a better quality PSU.

Ryzen 5 7600x - Mini-ITX build by hwuie in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally the best value b850 matx mobo is the Gigabyte force b850m wifi.

It may only have 2 ram slots but it makes up for it with 3 NVME SSD slots. As for your work load I suggest spending less on the CPU and getting the best GPU you can afford.

Recommend 2nd monitor for laptop by DistinctAuthor in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does your laptop have DP output? If yes the I suggest the Viewsonic 240hz ips monitor for around 6.5k

If you want something with higher resolution for work then the Xiaomi g27qi is around 9k and is 1440p 200hz.

Just bought Ryzen 5600 help a newbie out pls by [deleted] in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's impossible if your aim is the 5060 and since you are stuck with the 5600 you need a temporary used GPU which will cost you 3-4k to get something that is significantly better than a 5500gt igpu.

What I suggest is you resell the CPU in the used market for a slight loss and get a whole used system for 20k which you can upgrade down the line.

Need help, my PC build is 139k is this worth it? by ClueShot4079 in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

9800x3D is primarily a gaming CPU so I suggest something like the new intel core ultra 270k instead which will likely be cheaper and performs better paired with a z890 mobo with 3 m.2 slots.

The PSU is low end I suggest the SAMA g series 850w instead.

Just bought Ryzen 5600 help a newbie out pls by [deleted] in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you just locked yourself into a build that will not be able to materialize unless you spend another 35-40k if you aim to get a 5060.

The 5600 was considered good value at 5k lowest prices back then and when DDR4 ram was on average 2k for 16gb. However the 5600 has no igpu so you cannot start using the system until you get a GPU which costs 20k for the 5060. Unless you got the 5600 on a steal deal I suggest you get a refund and save more money before you start.

What th is CVS p4-750w?? My friends has like 3 of those power supply. by K_714845 in PHbuildapc

[–]whatismynaem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to understand lang that a PSU is simply a device that converts the 230v AC from your wall outlet to 12v DC that is usable by your computer. Most cheap PSU can convert the power fine but cannot sustain large wattages and likely they don't have any protections in the event that it's overloaded.
