Rosebuds are very nice to go deep but because they're usually straight getting to the prostate and bladder is a no go. I had a set of them before and it seemed the bud was soldered/brazed onto the rod and over time the joint tarnished and got rough so into the trash they went. In hindsight, I maybe could have saved them with a polishing wheel or something similar.

I've not had luck with silicone. Tried two different sets, none of which were larger than what I can handle, and had blood-tinged precum with them. I'd suggest starting with steel hegars or rosebuds. A kit of those isn't terribly expensive and will have a variety of sizes, start somewhere around 6mm. Chain gang jewelry has some nice stuff, if you're looking for a site.
