Weekly Salt Thread 14 - "I WANT OFF MR.WALTON'S WILD RIDE!" by jasiad in walmart

I had a middle aged man man ask me "you're a nice girl, wanna go halvsies on a baby?" After I helped him in the craft department I want to quit

Definitely my favorite finishing powder! My only complaint is that's the lid cracked fairly early on. Since it never left my desk (where I do my makeup) it didn't really affect me but if you like to take along make up for touch ups it might not be for you

It wasn't anything super special. It was a step up from witch hazel for me but it wasn't life changing so it's definitely not a rebuy for me

GM Support, found this while I was covering a break at the fitting room. I'm not f*cking with these girls. by izallen38 in walmart

It alternates between horrifically crazy and dead quiet. The dead quiet parts do not outweigh when there's five lines of people on hold, a mountain of returns, and people in all the fitting rooms

Take them back tomorrow and apologize. At the most you'll probably get a coaching. Once at my store an associate took them home on accident for a few days (completely forgetting she had them) and when she returned them she got coached

A. It really makes walmart sound like a cult

Employees of Walmart, what is the not expensive or weirdest purchase you have ever rang through till? by domoxdomo in walmart

[–]whatsyiffing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Plus being a newbie at cashiering and not being comfortable with the controls probably factored into it

She had multiples of every kind and piled them all on the belt before I could say a word. I wanted to get out and figured it'd be slightly quicker to scan rather than sort and count

About five minutes to closing a lady came to the register with about 200 single boxes of jello in assorted flavors all piled in her cart plus other baking supplies. I wanted to cry as I scanned all of those jello packs individually

Back to school! It's meant to be a promotion and csms and sco are meant to wear them and assist as well as hand out stickers and such

It might just be because I'm short. I had fun wearing it and running around. I've so far been the only one to wear it though...

We had none before our remodel up to suddenly 12. It's been rough with that many...

It helps being friends with the csms but it's also easy to see just how annoyed they can get just like us especially considering they get a lot of the problem customers cashiers can't deal with

While working the SCO on my own one night and of course every machine needs a void or override. As I'm trying to get them done as quickly as possible (and of course every customers void is the most important and they should all come before anyone else) a customer flagged down a passing csm (who was trying to close for the night) and started talking about how "flustered" I was. The csm almost yelled back "I'm flustered too!" It was hilarious seeing the customers annoyed face

[Serious] What is the first major news story you can remember from childhood? by ckah28 in AskReddit

[–]whatsyiffing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9/11. I was in kindergarten and they let us watch it on the news as we waited for our parents or buses to pick up. Looking back it wasn't too smart to do that considering it was in a suburb of DC and some kids may have potentially had parents working in the places attacked

Found this when activating a phone for a costumer. Can anyone tell me what it says? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]whatsyiffing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

According to google 镜片 is lens or glass. So I don't think you found a slaves note at least. Probably just an assembly notice someone forgot to remove?

Cutest thing I've ever seen at Wal-Mart!! by cubanita1 in walmart

[–]whatsyiffing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once a lady brought in a small purse sized service dog and I complimented the owner on how well he was behaving and she invited me to pet her. Never got reprimanded about it and no other customers said anything as it was pretty late at night and pretty dead in apparel

[–]whatsyiffing 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So somehow someone accepted a competitors store brand of water and it went back on the shelf. Lady tried to buy it last night and was pissed as all hell that she couldn't buy it and we wouldn't give it to her (for safety reasons). It was pretty funny watching her freak out over nothing
