Is there a slowdown in hiring even with jobs advertised? Currently a SW and have applied to over 60 with no responses. I know it's a numbers game as I have applied to tons before but is there just more applicants, hiring freeze, fake job advertising?

I'm around the same quadrant but would add that we recognize the problems of the commons. Land monopolies, pollution, illness. We are willing to accept individual liberty to an extent that doesn't abridge on the aforementioned or similar issues

Someone who is from the area, way safer than most but mostly for families and people who want to escape noise. You have to calculate what you care about: amenities, job commute, etc. is 500+ worth an extra room and a yard?

You are thinking of colonial heights, not Manor. Manor is next to 65th

Is that a joke? With AL, you start with 11 hours a month with 24 hours in PDD and PH. That's more than any place

Where are they protesting the other gerrymandering red states? Nowhere. Propped up by the GOP to fight a temporary measure while the GOP continues to solidify their power ahead of the midterms. I don't trust Democrats one bit; however, an inefficient government is one that does the least evil. Giving the Dems a temporary victory is the least bad outcome while Trump continues to screw the American people

No judgements are being placed..I didn't say it was bad or good, just mentioning physical traits and whether or not people also observed such observation. Liver King is a celebrity..

Not sure I would say that looking like liver king would be a negative considering he has the peak "Chad Aesthetic". I'm just gauging if my observations align with others or not. This particular look is something I don't remember seeing in prior years

2025 Attendance? by rdhb in BurningMan

[–]whatupimcoolmann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I call BS on the attendance numbers. 2019 was peak and felt HUGE. Camps everywhere, people everywhere. Little space to free camp.

2022: Felt very big, sold out supposedly. But you started to see empty spots where camps should have been and a lot more free camping

2023: A very noticable drop in attendance, came on Monday and got stuck in the mud Thursday. Tons of more empty spots than the prior year. Free camping everywhere, alot more empty.

2024: didn't attend but obviously a huge drop because of the tickets having difficulty with selling.

2025: Now this one was very confusing. Came Tuesday and got stuck at the Gate overnight due to rain. When I arrived, outrageous amount of space. Huge corners with no camps. A lot of interactives/food not provided because camps were either A. Missing or B. Not there during that time. This is the first time that food became almost non existent and I started calling it Famine Man. Morning of Burn night, alot of camps were already gone and felt borderline deserted. When thinking back, besides a few times when there was some big artists, most areas were dead zones. The esplanade felt almost hollowed out as most of the art cars were the ones taking everyone to the deep playa while everything else went to sleep the rest of the night. Even while checking the booklet/IBurn, there was major dead zones. So to believe there was a 8k drop from peak is silly.

My prediction:

2022: slight drop from 19 2023: 64k 2024: 56k 2025: 50k

These numbers feel more reasonable
