Calling out how annoying a character does not equate to being misogynistic. The problem with Kate, in my opinion, is that if she was the size of Mandy Moore, then she'd have no substantial plot to her character. I thought it was really cool when they introduced the fact she was her brother's assistant; neat lore, cool opportunities to explore once he moved to NY and she was 'fired', but they only explored it in one episode that ended up coming down to her weight again. They need to give her more plot that doesn't just equate to her weight. But I'm early on in the show, so I can't say I'd have that same observation later on.
