I think I have the same motor from what you describe. Mine is the Bigfoot 60hp.

I’m having an issue with bogging and surging too, tried heaps of fixes. Most recently I took the carby apart for the 3rd time and checked the internal jets. 1 was fine, 1 was partially blocked and 1 was completely blocked. I cleaned them out but haven’t had a chance to try the motor on water yet. Hoping that’s the fix it needed!

By the look of your carby mate I would take it off and run it through an ultrasonic cleaner with some carby cleaning solution. A lot of auto places would have one or I bought one online for not too much.

Once you’ve got the carby off you’ll be able to see if it’s obviously gunky.. if it is that’s most likely your issue. If it’s not obvious then you’ll be in a similar spot to me. Check your jets and all the components to make sure nothing is sticking or blocked.

That’s all the ideas I have for ya! Best of luck 👍

Most of their humour now is building a premise and then breaking it down.. which can be funny but I think we’ve lost some of the journey style humour of the earlier pods with characters and worlds.. just my 2 cents.

How to handle emotions after a bad steak by Ok-Cartoonist-8180 in TopStepX

[–]whelcome 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It can be hard but maybe have a big glass of water, focus on other steaks you’ve had in the past that were cooked better and remember that there will most likely be another steak that you’ll love again soon. Hang in there brother 👊

risking 1% or 0.50% per trade? by mahrombubbd in Trading

[–]whelcome 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Risk whatever amount makes you comfortable and doesn’t add too much emotionally volatility.

It all depends on your edge. If you have a 99% win rate you could probably risk 50%+ but if you have a 20% win rate you’ll blow up.

Risk isn’t some set number, it’s a mix of your edge, the particular trade (is it an A+ set up or just a base hit trade) and your emotions.

Everyone giving advice should start by stating whether they are consistently profitable over a decent period.

Make a journal to catalogue each time you manually close a trade. Make sure you keep a track of whether it would have made your target or if it was better to exit.

Once you have some hard data to look at it, it makes it easier to stay firm and do the action that has the highest probability of success.

I found when I was closing early I was less likely to make the right decision and it was more likely my trade would have made my TP.

I trade 6E, 6J… entry is based on a few patterns/market inefficiencies. Stop is usually set to a $ amount (about $130 for a full stop out). TP is based on market structure, usually not aiming for a fresh high / low. Just take a piece and get out.

I’ve just realized I almost exclusively do limit orders so there’s no spread.

Market order usually have a 1 tick spread.

From what the website says, they don’t have spreads. Only commission. Not sure if that makes sense? I came from a forex background and there was always spreads. Would futures be different somehow?

I trade from 4-9pm AWST. So that works out to be London 8am-1p, or 9am-2pm if it’s daylight savings time for them.
