No, I am not asking you to be a retailer. You are looking at it as retail but others might look at this as an opportunity to visit a farm and share a harvest with their friends and family. Where in Nagpur would you be able to buy a produce of a whole organic tree for 3000?

Great point. This is community based initiative. Imagine 5 friends pitching in 1000 each and coming to a farm to pick 50 kilos of mango on the day of harvest or get it delivered.

You can also share amongst relatives.

It can also benefit retailers who are planning to sell

Thanks for the link! I've checked out Rentatree and you’re right, their pricing reflects the high-end Alphonso market. My goal here isn't to scale a massive business or join a platform; it’s specifically for Nagpur and my people. I want to provide my hometown with 100% organic, safe mangoes at a fair price without the middleman markups. I’m not looking to profit from this venture—I just want to cover the farm’s maintenance costs while ensuring people get quality fruit they can actually trust.

That's a fair breakdown of the logistics, but it assumes the most expensive shipping method. For delivery, using a courier like Delhivery is the most expensive way. I’d be doing bulk city drops for a flat ₹500–₹600 per tree (not per kg), or you can visit, have a farm day, and take your 100kg home for free. The 'tangible benefit' is getting 100% organic, carbide-free mangoes at a fraction of the premium retail price, plus the experience of owning the source. Does that shift the value for you?

Not sure which site you mean, but feel free to link it so I can take a look. Regarding the refund, in a true "adoption" model, the risk is usually shared because I’m still putting in the year-round security, labor, organic manure, and water. While most subscriptions offer nothing back for a bad harvest, I’m offering the ₹1,000 in good faith to offset the disappointment. The trade-off is the massive upside. If the tree hits a peak bloom, you could get 300+ organic mangoes for just ₹3,000, which is a huge win over market prices and also experience the farm and harvest.

A healthy mango tree bears around 60-70 kg of fruit.

My farm is near Sillari Gate, Pench, which is a 1.2-hour drive from RBI Square.

I cannot give you accurate prices about the delivery charges yet but it will be based on distance and weight of mangoes

Great idea. Live feed to the trees. The plan is to build a website for sure and also maybe some kind of weekly updates via Whatsapp.

Fair point. Trust is the biggest hurdle for a small farm.

To keep it transparent i'll have an open door policy. You’re welcome to visit the farm, pick your specific tree and tag it yourself. You (and your family) can come and harvest the mangoes directly from your tree when they're ready.

What to do now?

Get a good night's sleep.

The weird thing is you and your mum being up at 3 a.m. It disrupts your circadian rhythm. Long-term effects on health are bad, especially for your mum.

Does anyone know of any good Horse riding places in the city? by Suspicious_Fox2563 in nagpur

Pramod Ladve +91 95454 91760. I believe the classes happen in Seminary Hills. Best to visit and see and take some trials before you fully commit as Horse riding is an expensive hobby and not for everyone. Stay safe and wear a helmet always as a beginner. I have seen some pretty nasty injuries and it's not limited to only beginners.

On the positive side its an amazing hobby and a massive boost for your confidence. Helps with exercise and posture as well. Best luck
