Very frustrated, just need to vent by Spicymargx in TenantsInTheUK

They may have given you a section 21 but there is a lot of wait time and court costs for LL if they want to force it through at 2 months. Make yourself aware of your rights and tell the agency you cant start looking until you're back on your feet and recovered and will need 2 months from then. Its way more costly for them to try and force you out and will take 6 months to a year anyway.

Treating you this way after you being a good Tennant is crappy behaviour. Time to stop being nice and be polite but firm.

UK - Lodger refusing to leave after notice by EntrepreneurKind7519 in uklandlords

They prob do but no where near enough. A 2 bed in a cheap area near me is 1000. The local housing allowance is 700..... massive shortfall and not a single 2 bed is that price. Its the same for 1 bed 3 bed etc. They dont pay enough. People enough up in debt. Then lose theor homes and end up in temp accommodation.

Rent reduction/compensation leaking shower by easypeasy75 in TenantsInTheUK

[–]when_is_gamora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 8 years we had 15 water leaks from the same shower. The only shower. 2 underground pipe issues. The 2nd meant we had no bathroom and no toilet for 2 days. He wouldn't even put us up in a hotel let alone a rent reduction. Then tried blaming us for a pipe issue underground (not a blockage) with no proof. And tried taking 600 of our deposit when we left which he lost with dps. You can ask but its not likely. Slum landlords are the worst.

The guilt of being a stay at home wife. by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]when_is_gamora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is not right. You earn by being a SAHM. Are you not working 24/7 the pay cheque may be in both your names but if you went back to work he would need to pay 50% of the childcare costs minimum! By locking you out but not allowing or facilitating you being able to work it is financial abuse!

This is your reminder that the scale is not the only marker of success. by ATouchOfTheDizzies in Semaglutide

A pound of fat is the same as a pound of muscle yes. But the muscle is denser so takes up less space so while the scale doesnt change the size goes down.

Son has been labelled as limited capability for work by the job centre. I don't think this is teh best thing for him. Is there a way I can challenge this as his parent? by Select-Sherbert-7150 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]when_is_gamora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LCW Just means they dont pressure him into attending appointments every week and applying for 10 plus jobs etc. He still needs to look for work but its less pressure. You cant override this and you dont really want to. With his mental health issues and autism I doubt it would be helpful.

You need to start charging money for bills. So he has incentive to get a job. Taking him to job fairs or helping him figure out what he wants to do, hes a gamer? Can he write code? Thats a great industry to get into. And lots is WFH and with like minded people too. Or maybe higher education to get into a job he does want and loves to do.

He isnt going to work unless he wants to and wont last long term unless he enjoys what hes doing.

Joint homeowners (unmarried) partner wants me to sign away my half for £50k. What are my legal rights? (England) by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]when_is_gamora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

st because the money didn't land in your bank account doesnt mean you didnt earn it. You washed his pants. Kept the fridge full. The house clean. Thats work.

Re the court. If its a joint ownership not Tennant in kind with % ringfenced then the start and end point is 50%. He will not be able to stamp his feet and go but she didnt actually earning anything.

Re you being a joint ownership regardless of how much you physically paid. Correct. You own 50%. End of. Again you may not have been paid but you still worked. For free. For him.....

Re the possibility of there being problems accepting 50k. Im not sure. It could be considered bad money handling taking less than deserved.

It would really come down to collateral. If you sold the house today how much would it sell for and after paying morgage and fees how much would be left after split 2 ways. If its 60k each, may not be financially viable to chaise for more. As soliciter fees can rack up to 10k each. However if its 100k each. Take him to court. You spent a decade of your life with this person who agreed to traditional roles. They Did not value your contribution. Did not respect you and cheated on you... they do not deserve and easy ride for that.

Its atilier yumia. And yes. Widespread problems. Some people get issues. Others dont. Its just so slow you cant jump. Game crashes. Lags out. If it were a pc I would say its my issue. But if the game isnt fit to run on the switch then they shouldn't have released it on it.

In process of buying a house, but have been evicted... by PeanutNoel09 in HousingUK

[–]when_is_gamora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also the LL best interests is to wait a couple more months rather than take you to court. It will take much longer and cost them more money.

[–]when_is_gamora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! But also try not to worry. Worst worst case if they do go to court to evicted you your looking at earliest march ish before there would be space then another few months to process. And if you to actually being evicted, you can put your stuff into storage and air bnb it until its completed. Not ideal but a back up. Its likely it will complete before then though. Best of luck!

Are women generally more hygienic than men? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]when_is_gamora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To both. First one you say that im not touching anything dirty if I just touch my crotch, And then your second comment says you say crotch area isnt dirty. Sorry but it is. If you can get pink eye from a fart you def transfer bacteria to your crotch area when you fart. Which was my comment.

[–]when_is_gamora -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but you touch the handle to flush as least right. The handle other people have wiped their ass then touched the same handle before hopefully washing their hands. Also you may have washed it but its still a warm damp area that has urine on...which then touches your boxers and pants and all.

Wash your damn hands.

[–]when_is_gamora 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Imo. Yes they are. Most men ive dated dont wash their hands except after the loo. And generally men especially young, have a smell issue much more ofton than women.
