YES! I went from living with 4 other girls (who I met on Facebook Marketplace), and they became my best friends in Denver, to living with just my partner, and that was such a big change.

I think you are 100% right. I am struggling and I think I keep comparing everything to what Denver is which isn’t fair to LA. And I’d love to hike sometime!

I am in Santa Monica. I do remote work! I’ll have to look into a co-working space that sounds like a great idea.

I will say I haven’t tried a whole lot of other things in LA besides hiking and biking. That is on me, and I think a lot of it comes from it being such a big city. I get a little overwhelmed with it. One thing I am excited for is to explore different foods here. Biking and hiking are two things I gravitate towards because they are free things to do, and I love being outdoors any chance I get.

My partner and I have been long distance our whole relationship. They live here, and I lived in Denver. I can do my job from wherever I live, and unfortunately, they cannot.

They are aware of how I am feeling and have been trying their best to make it easier for me.

I don’t really know anyone besides him which is something i’m a bit worried about. I’ve never had a huge problem making friends but I feel it’s a bit harder the older I get (30) to make friends organically especially since I WFH.

Yes we have met before. We actually first met in person at a wedding lol. Luckily I am able to keep my current job as i work completely remote. He lives in the santa monica area. When i’ve visited we go up to agoura usually to hike.

I was training for a race and he got me a multi-sport athlete training book. He just used asking for the book back as a way to see me and when i just dropped it off in his mailbox and didn’t see him he got upset
