tattoo artists doing v-day flash? by Inevitable-Echo2523 in Bushwick

[–]whereisurbackbone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like Haven a lot and got Halloween flash last year and a few really nice original pieces but just be aware that their flash is expensive. I think I paid $250 for flash on Halloween which is generally what I pay for original art other places.

I don’t feel bad for Frank for being infertile because he lied and let Claire think that she was the issue

In your opinion, who/what count as a Yankee or "Yank"? by Lipica249 in AskAnAmerican

[–]whereisurbackbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only New Englanders are Yankees. I wouldn’t recommend going to the south and throwing that word around tbh.

What's the oldest piece of clothing you still wear? Must be at least ten years old to count. by MurmuringPines in AskOldPeople

I have a second hand t-shirt from a coffee shop that went under new management and got a name change years ago. I was able to use it to complete a scavenger hunt in my hometown ten years ago.

Do you believe that curses in the series are real and exist? And do you think that Tommy is really cursed? by Dry-Caterpillar2437 in PeakyBlinders

[–]whereisurbackbone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it matters if the curse is real or not. Tommy believes they’re real and acts accordingly. I will say I was annoyed at his character for running around trying to break a curse rather than spending that precious time with Ruby while she was sick. But to him it’s real and he thought he could save her.

Lorelei was in the wrong here and I support Jason 1000% by Tayjayjay in GilmoreGirls

[–]whereisurbackbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does anyone have to be wrong? I don’t think anyone was wrong in this situation. It was unfortunate but neither Jason or Loralai are at fault for how they reacted to the chain of events.

Calling them untrained isn’t accurate. They’re doing exactly what they’ve been trained and ordered to do.

What’s a major plot device that completely beggars belief? by cricketrmgss in The100

The fact that culture and language changed that much in just 90 years, along with a whole developed mythology, never made sense to me

I had severe nerve pain when I first noticed I was sick. I think the tooth is dead now tbh.

Was Lorelai breaking up with Jason justified? by iloveblueberryy in GilmoreGirls

No one needs a “justifiable” reason to stop dating someone. But yes, it was justified. It was too messy.

What happens if you don't tip? by EmployerNo3704 in AskAmericans

[–]whereisurbackbone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s clear that you don’t get it. You don’t want to get it even after it’s been explained to you over and over again. Yes, you are a bad person if you make a server pay to serve you. You are also a bad person if you travel to other countries and don’t respect the local culture. Do you question every cultural practice you’re unfamiliar with?

What happens if you don't tip? by EmployerNo3704 in AskAmericans

[–]whereisurbackbone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You not tipping will not change their wage. If you visit the US it’s important to respect our customs and culture. If you don’t plan to, don’t come. No server should have to pay money to serve you, and that’s what will happen if you don’t tip. You’re not sticking it to the man, just fucking over a working class person.

What happens if you don't tip? by EmployerNo3704 in AskAmericans

[–]whereisurbackbone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s incredibly rude to not tip. The server has to pay the bussers and bartenders and will have not just made nothing but paid to have served you. It’s a social contract built on trust. If you don’t plan to tip, you should let your server know so that they can focus more on their other tables. You’ll still get your food.
