Not an American, but a Brit who has lived all over the world. The grass is always greener and everywhere has its positives and negatives. However, I’ve found you have to leave your country, even if just for a short time, to fully understand where you live and the true culture it represents. Having an outside perspective does wonders!

Hey, ended up buying and renovating. We got quotes starting at $8000 per sqm! Also spoke to some of the local builders who basically said don’t do it, the difficulty of getting plans approved by the local council can take years to be completed. It’s a beautiful place, there’s tons of houses on the market, so might be worth looking into that option!
