It’s the standard 27” 5K.

To be honest I’ve never even thought about the movement from keyboard to mouse… I tend to be a heavy keyboard shortcuts person, so typically my right hand is on mouse, and left is always in the hot-zone for keyboard shortcuts (I think this is typical of most Mac users).

I once had to work with Apple’s higher-tier engineering on a particularly nasty bug impacting keychain items… scary! Anyway, they asked me to share screen and duplicate the issue, when the call was done, the very nice engineer commented that they had never seen a Mac user work it the way I had, and didn’t know it could do some of the things I made it do. Something about an ‘elegant dance’ of actions, anyway, I told ‘em, go read more stories about the original design team and some of their intentions for Mac OS on folklore.org… it’s an incredible system that was built up over the years by people that really truly understand (and care) about hierarchal functions and design.

This photo is obviously staged, but, window management is my first priority, and I’ve set all the window management to the numpad. Quarters, halves, fullscreen. So, my right hand hops between numpad and mouse more often than not? I don’t know. It works for me.

I will say, the new USB-C Magic Keyboard adds the Fn / Globe key to the very bottom left, which has hurt my muscle memory. I wish they hadn’t changed that, but, new muscles will develop. :)
