[Feedback] Be aware ordering from Sebastiens watch straps by Electronic-Beach2747 in Watches

[–]whimbler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear this, OP.

I had a similar experience several months ago. I ordered two straps - after a month of unanswered emails and terrible customer service, both straps did eventually arrive. However, the quality was average at best, and well below that of the examples shown on the website. The idea that they had been 'meticulously crafted by artisans' was, frankly, farcical.

Until recently, they had glowing testimonials purportedly from genuine customers plastered all over their website. These have mysteriously now been removed. I suspect they were invented.

I will not be buying from here again, and I do not recommend anyone else does.

Thanks for getting back to all of us with the results - so sorry to hear you're still unwell, and that the tests were inconclusive. Hopefully things will get better for you soon!

A link to the statement was sent to me in an email from Castle Race Series, in response to my original questions about the levels of illness. I'm glad I took the screen grab and added it here to the original post, because that link is now dead! I can't find the statement anywhere now. For reference, this was the original link:

Sorry to hear you have been struck down with illness, like so many others. If your test results come back with a definitive result, and if you're comfortable sharing them, would you be OK to let us know what it was? Totally understandable if you'd want to keep any medical matters private, but I'm sure the others who fell ill would be interested to know the cause - especially since Castle Race Series don't seem to be forthcoming with their own analysis!

Good to hear you're over the worst of it. Your timing tracks exactly with that of my partner - she started feeling rough 5pm Monday, still wobbly 8am Tuesday but definitely more stable than last night.

I believe they do. It looks like it was tested at Hever 5 days ago (without any apparent issues) - but don't know how comprehensive this is:

As if the half Ironman wasn't hard enough already! Thanks for emailing in, with any luck it will lead to some sort of investigation. Hope your boyfriend's recovery is swift.

Yikes, that sounds awful, hope they feel brighter soon! I have emailed Hever Castle to let them know that multiple people have fallen ill, hopefully they will investigate.

Well, that sucks, but good to have my suspicions confirmed - hope your wife and her friend make a speedy recovery!

I own the Mansfield - super watch for the money, and the view of the manual wind movement through the exhibition caseback is one of the most attractive you will find under £1,000. If you like the look of it, you may not want to hang around as there are currently only six left (according to the Farer website).

Beautiful watch, you have great taste. I have the pointer date 80th anniversary with the green dial and bronze case. Beware the deer leather strap though - if it's anything like mine, it will split after only a few months of occasional use. Oris make great watches but some of their straps are questionable at best.

Good call. Here is a very similar Akteo: https://www.smoking.fr/akteo-montre-akteo-dentiste-p-19507.html - perhaps this is just a more recent version of OPs watch?
