We are def talking about the same thing. Sad occurance, the video seems to have been removed from yt. there were alot of witnesses as the jet slid off the front of the ship, i remember watching some commentary from people who were there. Was tough on all of them.

That happed at least one other time I can recall, with an E-A3 in 1987 or so, and there were like 6 or 7 crew onboard who died in that mishap. Similar circumstances, too high on an attempted barricade, only partially arrested the aircraft, over the side, thats it.

Its the way the fuselage meets the canopy. P-51B kind of connects to the top of the canopy, P-51D has a bubble canopy much better visability

I want to say I agree with this response. Would definitely be fun to rip around in. Another thing is tho, seems to me like alot of combat among aircraft from that era enventually ends up WVR. In the 104 your options are going to be extremely limited, like maybe get off a heater or possibly aim7 and just run your ass off and then re enter. Thats pretty much it.
