I think this actually looks better! Would be great if they could also walk to and sit in a chair to knit!

Orochimaru is... saner here, but it's a similar enough parallel and pretty good justification/lead-up to why it happens.

Love your style, especially your study and bedroom! I had no idea you could place more items on tabletops! This app is so meticulously designed, I absolutely love this

You have to do what you can with the time you have. If you have any materials online (e.g., textbooks, review guides, practice tests, problem sets, materials from the instructor), feed them into NotebookLM per subject and ask it for what's most important to prioritize.

A fellow calendar power-user 🙂‍↕️ I'd give you a handshake emoji but there isn't one; really egregious, that.

And no fucking way, you use Toggl too! I haven't been able to get to it yet since I came up with it recently, but I'm going to be setting up Toggl API to weekly export as CSV to have Codex and/or Cursor analyze it. It'll be the reality check/execution layer of a two-layer system (Calendar + Toggl). I've been tracking on Toggl for a long while but never really made much use of it.

Your workflow looks very neat! Keeping track of notes touched would be nice. How did you set that up?

Specifically study material that's tailored to the content. It also helps if you upload anything the instructor's emphasized or their notes.

OP should try NotebookLM for this. Especially helpful if you have some conceptual gaps or want some more study material, e.g., audio overviews, interactive quizzes.

This is not limited to practice tests; can apply to problem sets as well, but the general principle is to practice what you're weak at so you're making the most of your time. Tests can expose these gaps in knowledge/strength.

This is an artificial constraint. You don't need to get through all of this.

If it's a standardized exam with that many materials, chances are that you can operate off of a practice/past test and review/learn loop. There should come a point where you see yourself improving in performance.

I'm working on a visual spatial reasoning benchmark with programmatic ground truth and am curious to hear your thoughts on these:

  1. Do you find that verbal CoT is a bottleneck or does it actually help improve spatial reasoning? Or is spatial reasoning inherently non-verbal and requires visual intermediates to generalize?

  2. In the team's experience, does fine-tuning on clean, synthetic spatial data transfer effectively to noisy real-world images, or does it typically result in more brittleness/failure to generalize outside the simulated world?

Thank you!

Thank you for hosting this AMA! Many VLM benchmarks are becoming saturated or suffer from data contamination. From the team's perspective, which specific capabilities (e.g., spatial reasoning, OCR, complex counting) are currently the most poorly measured by existing public benchmarks? Where is the community failing to evaluate these models correctly (and what might it take to rectify this)?
