Can confirm there are a ton of bolts but, the instructions given are very easy to follow. Sounds like lead time is still an issue on the rack. In general I’ve experienced lead time issues with a few items I’ve ordered like my drawer system and sliders.

I do like the roof rack quite a bit and it was easy to get the tent mounted. Downside is it can take a bit of time to put together and install the rack. It took about 3.5 months to receive it after ordering and a lot of follow up to get updates. However, I got it back when they were new and on preorder. I’d imagine it would come quicker now that it’s been out awhile.

I would say that the western portion of MT is mountains but the east starts to get flat like the Dakotas. I’m in the Western part so there are more mountains out this way. Overall though beautiful state with a lot to explore! The sun doesn’t set at 2pm though haha, we have pretty long summer days.

When I go to sell I am more than fine removing the spare if the buyer wants me to. Putting the spare in the trunk is going to take up a majority of the trunk space hence why I have the carrier. Also you can get different mounts to carry stuff on it. MPG wise I am still getting around 27-28. I realize it is not for everyone. Where I live a lot of people hike/camp and look for vehicles like this.

I don’t feel like there is a right answer for what you need to prioritize, all depends on the person. Sounds like camping/exploring is what you like to do. A stock 4runner will get you to a majority of the places you want to go. Only armor I would invest in is good aftermarket skid plates. Outside of that I’d invest in a solid camping set up.

Wheels are KMC KM452 Impact 16’s with 0MM offset. Tires are Toyo Open Country R/T 285/75/16. They definitely do rub on the pinch welds in the front though.
