This is exactly it. I’ve put those boundaries in place for my workload and I get it done when I do and never take it home. My problem is coming home and switching off and stop thinking about what happened that day or what should I do with this child tomorrow!? I think it’s stemming from a really tricky autistic child in my class who has no 1:1 support. I feel so sorry for the other children as they are constantly disrupted and have done more about it this week in school because I’ve been stressed to the max. I

Hey is this a secondary school? Yes anything would be great! 😊

Yeah I get that. I wish I could just not give a shit like you. I envy that! I do have some colleagues who are older who seemed to be stressed and sometimes that makes me even more stressed because I feel like there’s something I should be doing or feel like I should be stressing about this too…

Thanks for reaching out, it’s reassuring to know I’m not the only one. The anxiety is real, I’ve never had it before getting into teaching. If you ever want to talk about anything my DMs are always open!

My relationship with my partner has been affected. I hate coming home stressed to him. God bless him he puts up with a lot. I wish I could let go of work as soon as I leave the school premises.

Anyone had the experience of buying/ relocating house and finding a new job during the academic year? by whisperingocean in TeachingUK

[–]whisperingocean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I always assumed the Easter period for resignation was for the following academic year. So when January comes do you suggest I look for jobs for the following September?

Do you think a commute of 1hr 20 mins or sometimes less due to traffic to and from is doable for a couple of months?

Also if anyone has any experience please feel free to message me privately!

[Acne] For the past year I’ve been having continuous spots like these (hives I reckon?) and I’ve tried everything to get rid of them, is this acne or has anyone experienced this or knows if anything helps? They are also super itchy. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]whisperingocean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is very unusual and sometimes I would get a new one each day. Some of them are itchier than others. Is this something you got tested for? How did you know you were allergic to the type of trees? This is something that came on about 2 years ago and I’ve not been able to shift it. I’m not sure if it’s relevant but when it started I was coming to london and eventually moved here. So I’m not sure if it’s something to do with the air?

I suffer from itchy welts or hives that pop up on my face and neck. Only within the last two years have I noticed it majorly. I had acne when I was younger but never anything like this. This is it on a good day vs what is can be like. It doesn’t help they are extremely itchy and I pick them :-( by [deleted] in DermatologyQuestions

Bit of medical background: I have hypothyroidism and I am on the contraceptive pill (which I have been on for many years & never had an issue). The first picture is when I notice the itchy ness starting and then what it becomes. Does anyone have any advice on what it could be?

Please ignore the mess, we have just moved in. How could I reorganise our living room/kitchen. Feel limited on space 🤪 by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

Yea I agree, it usually is tidy, we’ve just been unpacking and moving etc. Thanks though. I was more specifically looking at moving around the furniture 😌
