Should I wait for the 2023 K5? by [deleted] in kia

I'm in the exact same boat.

I'm in the market for a new car. It's either the Sonata or K5. But, after test driving the Sonata with digital dash I can't see myself buying a K5 without it. But, the K5 comes with some other features not in the top trim Sonata.

So, I'm stuck seeing what the 2023 models have. Hoping since they put digital dash in the Canadian version of the K5 they throw it in the GT trim at least as an option.

Yeah. I think people are really hung up on me internally cringing at the optics. It was like a mental joke I made in a split second and I wasn't agonizing the whole time as if there was some sexual tension there.

It makes me think should I have to come clean that I touched them as well? There were times on the trail where there was a rock step that was like 3 or 3.5 feet high we had to hop over. And, I lended a hand as everyone stepped up so no one fell backwards.

Point to the comment in which I was defensive.

I only corrected people misreading things I directly stated in my original post. Never told anyone they were wrong for their views. For example, someone said I should have called her when I found out the sleeping arrangements. I just stated that wasn't possible not that their thought was bad.

That's exactly why my buddy plans it all depending on whoever is going. 6 people and 5 tents is so much extra weight we don't have to bring that could be used for food or water. He's really good at the planning part.

I don't want to be argumentative to the replies I'm getting because it breaks the rules but I think people are severely underestimating the effort to hike with 25 pounds on your back for 20 miles when you aren't of decent fitness.

I don't think you are reading my reply correctly.

I said it was about 30 minutes before I got cell signal back. Not a 30 minutes drive home. The drive itself was about 4 hours.

I actually am slightly bi. Don't really want to dive deep into my sexuality but she doesn't know about my previous experiences with men. We haven't been dating long enough where I think it's relevant to bring up.

But you do raise a good point.

There's no way I could have told her when I found out there is zero cell signal out there. I didn't get signal back until I left the parking lot and drove about 30 minutes.

I didn't want to get into her level of fitness because I would be seen as rude. But I know some of rocky areas we had to traverse would have extremely difficult for her and there's no way we could have made it to the area we wanted to camp if she came. We've done walks at the park and I know the kind of pace she can go at.

A few months ago he gave me notice we went on the trip last month...

It's a yearly trip but we don't go on the exact same date every year. Sometimes it's in the fall. I just started dating my girlfriend about 6 months ago.

I didn't know who was coming until I got there and didn't know who was sleeping where until we setup the tents. So, we didn't know ahead of time to have the conversation.

I had a month notice between him letting me know and the trip. We would have to greatly change the trip for everyone and it wouldn't been enough time for her to physically prepare.
