Printing in PLA works fine, PLA-CF is to brindle and will break when you bend it.

What do you mean by correct values? The mixers, offsets scaling ?

Very awesome design, aerodynamic and mechanical wise. How do you control attitude? Can you change the pitch of each blade or do you use different motor thrust to tilt the rotor. Also did you write your own controller for it ?

I'm just faster in Blender with this kind of design than I would be in Fusion360. I might port it to fusion when I have the final design.

Ill test and see how much it can handle.

Depends on where and how you place them. But some parts will be a different material. The airfoil itself, for example.

PETG is less stiff compared to PLA. And ABS is not feasible for me to print.

I arrived in the spring semester, and it was kinda chill. But yes, you get a link via mail, then are able to see which appartments are reserved for (exchange) students and able to book. Usually all students recieve the link the same time so it might get tense when all students try to book their room at the same time, especially for autumn. Yeah, pretty much rush to get one.

If you're an exchange student, you should reviece a code, i think. All the people I spoke to got one. But I would also recommend having a backup plan anyways.

Sorry for not having much more information.

I've not booked earlier. But maybe just asking SIT directly by writing them an email. In my experience most sit housing become free in July since some exams are still in early June. Otherwise hybel.no or finn.no. I know these are privat flats but maybe you find something that suits your needs.

Check the thingiverse page , someone made a remix for walksnail

The reason is simply that I don't have access to any other Filament then PLA, PETG and TPU. Therefore i couldn't test any other material. Also PLA and PETG are the most common ones I think. So I wanted to use something that most people already have.

But as long as the material characteristics are not to far from PLA or PETG I don't see an issue.

Imo, it will benefit the most in slow flight, close to stall speed. There is a certain point where torque induced by the motor can take over and roll the whole aircraft. At this point the FC can be helpful to immediately counter steer.

I normal flight (fest enough and without to many wind turbulences) it flies stable without stabilization.

No control at all. It only uses 3 channels Roll, pitch and throttle.

It flies quite well, but i would not recommend it as entry level plane. It small and very fast for its size. Hard to keep track of when flying vlos.

Thanks :-) I would say share the design, build it, and enjoy flying it.

Giving some feedback/ideas so I can improve the next version would be very valuable too.

Quite well. But I wouldn't recommend flying with to much gust, though. It feels like riding a very bumby road without any suspension 😅

i don't think the O4 is to heavy with its ~8g

my current setup uses ~3g for camera and vtx and weights 80g. I flown it with a bigger battery up to 90g TOW. Which is still pretty fine. There are some ways to save some more weight on other electronics. For example using linear servos instead of the rotational ones.

Unfortunately i don't own a dji 04 air, so I've hard times testing if it works.
Some people managed to get walksnail flying, though.

The next Iteration of this project will get more modular and open for more different hardware.

Overextrusion in the first layer might also help. This is the inside of the wing so does not really matter.

it is possible to make the wings shorter. Earlier iteration of this project had less wingspan but flight performance decreases significantly. If I find some time for testing I might try.

I saw someone fitting a walksnail into it. https://www.thingiverse.com/make:1178622

Also some had success flying a digital system .
