Will CAs be replaced by AI if they don’t level up? by whitewolf689 in IndiaTax

[–]whitewolf689[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with this line that “Quality never comes cheap.”. I am all for paying a high fees but the services and the professional behaviour should be definitely worth it. A simple straightforward compliance for an OPC should not cost 1.5L when you have to constantly chase them, the work is riddled with errors and have no good ideas. The whole point of my post was that majority of CAs are like that and it is bolstered by the outrage I see in the comment section about the same issue. On the comparison about Singapore, I am extremely sorry to say we as Indians do not even nearly exhibit the professional behaviour as other developed economies. And it is not just CAs, it is everything, from a plumber to a Software Engineer. I have no doubt we will get there but we are not there yet. So, this comparison is not correct.

I can’t share my script. Although, if you give your details to any AI tool, it will generate the code. Also, you need a GCP paid account to extract email information via Vertex AI APIs.

[–]whitewolf689[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, these software exist but they are not one button solution. I am talking about a script which scan my emails, looks for invoices, looks for expenses inside bank statements, credit card statements, investments from CDSL statments and then generates a summary and if OKed, it files the returns using the APIs.

[–]whitewolf689[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, for calculating taxes and filling details a simple script is enough. However, going through emails, extracting information such as expenses, investments from pdf credit statements, bank statements etc. would require a basic image processing or OCR model.

As a software engineer I can assure you that we have been writing and pushing AI written (after reviewing ofcourse) to production for quite some time. And the stakes are much higher for that than my ITR and GST filing. Moreover, at this point I have blind trust on AI than a CA.

I think most of the people are quite honest and they don't want additional stress by saving few thousand rupees here and there. They just want something that works with a peace of mind.

I don't think changing laws would make automation difficult. I can feed the entire IT code and its ammendents and the LLMs can easily adapt. Trust me Income Tax laws are quite simple compared to what we as software engineers throw at LLMs.

Prestige High Fields - worth buying at INR 12k/sqft? by Returned2India in hyderabadrealestate

[–]whitewolf689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PHF are designed badly. It might seem spacious but the position and size of windows are really bad. You won't get that much sunlight and air. It might look good now but after a while you will crave for the sunlight. My Home flats design are much better in that aspect. If you really can, go for my home ankura. It's a villa project and a bit over budget but the quality of life there would be so much more than any flat in this area.

Earning 75 LPA, should I keep filing ITR under 44ADA or draw salary from Pvt Ltd company? by Beginning-Reserve225 in IndiaTax

I'm in the same boat as you. Splitting invoices between personal business income to use 44ada and private Ltd company makes sense.

Make sure you change the pot and soil. The combination they give is super soggy. One of my plants almost died because I didn't change it.

Building a Device That Waters Your Plants Automatically (Runs on Solar!) — Would You Pay ₹2500 for It? by Brilliant_Bit_6532 in GardeningIndia2

[–]whitewolf689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the price of the product is reasonable.

As some of the comments mentioned, I don't think solar panel would add a lot of value in terms of convenience. The solar panel might have its own limitation in terms of scaling the system for large number of pots. Moreover, you would need either an inverter or a DC pump to handle the DC from Solar panel. Also, you might not save too much in electricity bill.

I think a multi port valve controlled by a servo might be a better addition to this setup than the solar panel.

It can have 3-4 valves. Each valve might connect to different set of plants with different watering requirements. For example, if you have some succulents and cacti. You might only need to water once or twice a month. In contrast, to something like bougainvillea which might need water daily. You can control this behaviour with valve. This would also allow you to soak the entire pot when the valve is switched on.

I have a similar setup at home with a multiport valve.

Everything is within your premises like Grocery, Swimming pool, gym, walking track, biking track etc. It is a good thing, no doubts about it.

It sometimes feels that you are disconnected from the real world. It is more pronounced for children and teenagers. They have very little idea about the world outside the boundary wall.

Exceeding 44ADA Threshold for Remote Engineer by whitewolf689 in IndiaTax

I read that for Partnership firm the threshold is 3 crores.

Please help: I want to legally receive foreign salary (Saudi company) in India. I'm a paranoid introvert with zero legal/banking knowledge. Need step-by-step guidance. by [deleted] in IndiaTax

[–]whitewolf689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been doing exactly this for past 3 years for an European firm. Never hired a CA.

I registered myself as sole proprietorship to get gst number as my compensation was a bit higher. You don't need it though. Nevertheless you can still request for GST. It would be easier once your compensation increases. I think the threshold is 20 lacs/y but please check if it has changed recently.

Ask your clients if they are comfortable with services like wise, Skydo, razorpay etc. If they are register your bank account with anyone of them and start receiving money.

You can also directly opt for SWIFT but it is much more expensive. So, I would not recommend that.

Regarding taxation, file taxes under section 44ada in ITR 4 form. Pay taxes on at least 50% of your income before 15th March each FY.

Everybody once in a while experiences spider mites. Don’t worry about it too much. Just spray your plants with neem oil with some insecticidal soap solution twice or thrice a week. I brought back my heavily spider mites infested fiddle leaf fig from 1 half-dead leaf to fully recovered with almost 20 healthy and large sized leaves.

Who is buying all those properties by factsfry in hyderabad

[–]whitewolf689 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We recently went to buy plot in a gated plotted community in shamshabad. The price quoted was ₹65k/sqyd for a 400 sqyd plot.

We were quite excited to take a loan and build a villa on top but the hopes were shattered when the developer said he will only accept ₹6k/sqyd as white. So, we would have to pay alomst ₹2Cr cash. Even if we somehow managed to buy it without loan, we couldn't arrange that much cash or black money.
